Now we should just list all the porsches we have had> Me first

66 912
70 914-4
73 914- 4
(2) 74 914-4
75 914-6(2.7 conversion)
77 911 3.0

bought the first one at 20 so not bad for eight years. How about everybody else. Oh by the way saw a "young "kid out tonight in our huge town of 9000 people with a mid 70s 911 ( he thought it was a 83 911 "s" I think he was still learning) He looks like he was just learning about the car as it smoked all the way down the road(overfilled oil tank) . It was great to see another one of us

When I was 5 my dad's friend had a 911, one day me, my dad, his friend and his daughter also about 5 years old, we all went to Sea World, us kids sat in the back. I immediately fell in love with the car because of the size of the rear seats (ironically, probably the only thing that people hate about the 911's), they were just my sized!!! It's been a love afair with Porsche's ever since

For the young HP junkies, I love eating up all the Ricer cars!!! close to 300hp and about 2300 lbs makes for some fun rides.

I am 29 and have had lots of nice cars and trucks. Only recently have I gotten into P-Cars tho and I have 2. I bought my Vette for cash when I was 17 back when you could still make a buck commercial fishing.

33 and car is 81. 2 years ownership.. First P car - but yet another hotrod in an ongoing series.

Hammered my savings account pretty good it did...

I turned 35 three weeks ago.

Got my 911 just after my 30th birthday. I've preferred older cars all my life, but there's something special about the late 60's very early 70's that really gets to me.

HI, IM 29 THE CAR A 79SC.

svonkampen 06-17-2004 09:05 PM

Wow.......I stand corrected

Lots of young people with P-Cars........
I think it is still the most beautiful thing Germany has ever designed....3 cheers for Butzi !!!

I never expected so many of you to respond to this thread....

Just goes to show how much P-Car owners love their rides.....

By the way......the other day in Carlsbad CA (San Diego County) A whole load of vintage American Muscle cars rolled by.....Hundreds......I was so jealous........What would it take to organize this with 911s? Surely PCA do this sort of thing?

I got myself a 77 911 for my 30th last year. ;)

mikebrasket 06-17-2004 09:53 PM

I'm 23 and my 911 is 25. Not all of use younger folks go for the far eastern imports... There's definitely a large counter culture that goes for European autos instead.

My list of cars to date:
'79 Fiat Spyder 2000
'90 Audi 80 Quattro
'90 Audi Coupe Quattro
'90 Audi v8 Quattro
'79 Mazda RX-7
'02 Acura RSX Type-S
'97 BMW 528i
'99 Audi A6 (Wife's car)
'79 Porsche 911SC Targa (Yes, it's my driver!)

I get tired of cars quickly. The Audi's are a lot of fun and I will probably pick up an older S4 or another Coupe when I get tired of driving the Porsche every day (come winter time I reckon). The Coupe was the only car I've had that came close to the 911 in pure fun, mostly because of the exteme suspension (H&R/Koni racing setup) and exhaust. They don't build Audi's like that anymore.

One thing is definite though, there will always be a Porsche in my garage from now on!

Hey Mike,
How does your P car go down amoungst your peers? What do they think of it?

The younger guys I talk to all rave about HP & jap cars: rightly so if HP is what it takes and where it's at....and I do envy the newness and not having to think about costly repairs or paint etc...but what they said to me (surprisingly) is that they could easily see the attraction in an old 911. Kind of like paying their dues? lol.

I think if you like cars then ultimately age is no barrier whatsoever.

Nope.

I got a nasty hangover that is finally starting to subside.
