Ow! Reminds me of the time I put a brand new exhaust on my bug. I'd spent an entire day getting the old rust exhaust off, cleaning everything up, and installing the new one. Took it for a test drive, and had to turn around in a parking lot; ended up backing into a curb and tearing the muffler halfway off.

Egham, England, Jun. 16 (UPI) -- For all of its engineering, speed and luxury, a brand new $320,000 Ferrari proved no match for a pothole in Egham, England, The Sun reported Wednesday.

The dream of a lifetime turned into a nightmare for municipal employee Simon Nimmo when he wrote off his brand new 575 F1 "super car" just four minutes after picking it up from the dealership.

Municipal employee??????? How much do government workers get paid in England?

Spit up my coffee!

It did say life long ambition. Interesting how some people will toil away for years salting the money for that life long dream. I knew a man once who made little money at his vocation. He always wanted to go to Egypt and see the pyrimids and more. And he did it at about age 60. He went alone and savored every minute. He was also an accomplished photographer, so he could revist any time with his pics. He was obsessed, but it made his life whole.

that's what you get for buying a Ferrari

could have bought a 911 GT3, a 911 GT2, and a Boxster for the missus for that money!

Typically the dealership insurance covers you for either 3 or 5 days (don't remember which). I'm sure he's covered somehow. Then again, I'm equally sure there's some carrion-eating adjuster trying to screw him out of getting a dime (sorry, a schilling - he's British).
