Here's the really funny part. There are 9 stupids here in this situation at the moment. More are appearing every time someone steps up in front of a TV news camera and pulls out the race card. This wasn't about race, this was all about stupidity.

1 thru 7). The Police at the scene.

8) The driver of the Camry.

9) The Police Chief.

Enough stupidity to go around for just one morning in LaLaLand.

I have requested permission to post the article here so you don't have to go to the LA Times site (knowing that offends some people) and have not yet heard back.

Steve Lopez (the author of the column) is a 'self-proclaimed progressive', but in spite of that, he is a very common sense guy when it comes to public display of stupidity.

Kind of like Techweenie can be on a good day.

Oh, lordy. another one of those cops (hardly any of them live in El Lay) is going to cost the taxpayers money.

I'd like to see a value put on various forms of painful but not permanently-disabling blows. Let's be generous and say $5K per whack.

Instead, we'll get a Cochran-esque spectacle that will overblow this thing by 100X, and some big office building in El Lay will end up with a new night security guard.

I was LOL this morning when I found out the flashlight cop lives in Manhattan Beach.

I have a feeling lots of heads will be swinging from ropes if Bratten hopes to keep that Boston accent in LA.

This morning's line is that the first cop on the pile was saying to the new arrivals that the perp had a gun.

No gun was found.

Inglewood cops tried that with the 100-lb. 'mentally challenged' kid they picked up and slammed against a police car and punched. Busted by being 'caught on tape' they suddenly remembered the kid had 'grabbed the officer's testicles' despite being handcuffed and apparently as limp as a rag. Two trials; two hung juries.

Basically, So Cal juries aren't impressed by minor injuries, so we'll see if this latest bad guy is as injured as his lawyer says he is.

Is kinda why the thread is Nature Weeding Out the Stupid.

You'd THINK that in the Inglewood, Rodney King and OJ era, the cops would think twice knowing that there are usually 3 to 10 camera equipped helicopters airborne at any time in LalaLand. The helos are not monitoring the shopping channel looking for news.....

Tech is right (again), the citizens of LA are gonna pay again for everyone's stupidity.
