LOL.

I hope you are upgrading the brakes. I can't imagine a golf cart stopping too well from 40+ mph.

It's not going to matter, the Marshals carry radios. You can't out run a radio. You better upgrade you suspension as well, maybe throw on a couple of brush gaurds.

Recommend some Body Armor: helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, heavy boots, leather everywhere........just like a dirt bike, you will do fine.

I have a two stroke, two cylinder Cyuna in my hovercraft that puts out 35HP. How are you getting 40 Hp out of a single cylinder Rotax? The Rotax 503 (twin) is much larger and puts out 50Hp, what model number is yours?

Um... yeah, I never said 40hp. Your right- this makes 22hp.
22 is abunch more than the stock motor- should be fun, with a hint of danger.

Stripped the donor cart today...

Gas powered golf carts can already reach 35 + mph with the motor you already have, you just need to jimmy with the governor. With that said, it probably won't last long, and you can only run it at 1 speed, WFO!

I've got a rotax 250 motor sitting in my garage waiting for another go cart frame.

They don't have 1 speed but you need top set up the variable belt drive right or you'll rip the axle out!!! OOPS
