Funny, most of the ailments on this BBS appear to be the result of excessive masturbation. Go figure.

haha, you dont talk like a doctor!

on the plus side, we cant stand before a judge and say, "we call him moses!"
when the judge ask us your real name, "errrr?"

Reminds me of the old adage that most doctors think an alcoholic is anyone who drinks more than they do...

Thanks guys! There is no numbness, etc.. I am SURE I am mis-stating the clinical term for what happened. All I can say is that I felt a definite seperation in the area I defined below (thanks mul for the pic.) It was obvious to me that this area "opened up". It does not hurt at all just existing, but it does hurt when I wash my hands if that makes it any more clear. Below is the modified pic and the affected area. Again, I just want to say to Moses I wasn't pushing you for a response or demanding an answer, I respect your awkward position here. Thanks!

Never a problem. If I feel like I'm over my head I'll be the first to let you know. Besides, the endlessly patient gearheads at Pelican suffered through hundreds of my stoopid questions when I did the 3.6 thing.

I doubt, without trauma, it is a fracture. Just go get an x-ray, approximately $70 bucks, if you want the peace of mind.

lendaddy 07-13-2004 06:59 PM

Yea, I will Mul, I had to do pictures with my boy tonight(lil guys a ham at 7 months), but I'll try tomorrow. I really wish you could make appointments!

Ok, I doubt it matters, but I modified the pic a little after thinking. If the red line to the right points to what is perceived as the "bump" on the outside of your wrist, then the line to the left is where the separation occured. If not then the first pic I posted is correct. Moses, what part of this diagram is the "bump"?

The first bump (lateral) is the distal ulna. Go 2 cm distal and medial and you feel the lunate bone. The hamate has a small projection that is frequently broken. Common baseball injury.
