i went to the ghetto UT school. the one in el paso.

My undergraduate school, SDSU, seemed like a strictly cash and carry business. You pay, they educate, you leave. No other expectations, and I've never been contacted by the alumni ass. Oh, and cost was minimal. Post grad a bit different...much more expensive, and despite moving every 2-3 years they track me down and ask for more donations. It's like they're stalking me....a bit unsettling.

I gave some targeted money to my undergrad school (Univ. of San Diego), as I wanted to give some support back to the science department. My wife and I both give money to our grad alma mater (Caltech), since it is "special". At least to us...
