I agree with money that there is more than enough stink to go around. It only appears that people like mul and len think that it belongs exclusively to one party. |

Thompson and Falwell swold paranoid fantasies to the gullible. 'Ordered the burn-out'? You believe the pedophile's compound was burned on purpose by the evil guv'mint? Wow. I suppose you believe Clinton shot down TWA flight 800, too? |

So, tell me tech, do you believe this lie from Dan Rather? DAN RATHER: "Sandy Berger, who was national security adviser under President Clinton, stepped aside today as an adviser to Senator John Kerry. CBS's John Roberts reports this was triggered by a carefully orchestrated leak about Berger, and the timing of it appears to be no coincidence." This is how Dan Rather covered this monumental breach, Dan did what the Democrat talking points spelled out...Blame a false-bogeyman (namely the shadowy unexplained Republican puppet-masters) and ignore the crime. Let me help you out with this one, tech...Dan Rather is lying and the Democrat party is lying...That is right, this is a vast left-wing conspiracy (just like the cover-up of sexual harassment and obstruction of justice felonies) to rewrite history. |

Wow. What a loving, Christian comment. The compound was staked out originally for weapons violations. Allegations were made by ex-members that the childern were made to have sex with Koresh (which is not uncommon with cults) and the cultists set fire to their own compound, after shooting some of their own. What evidence do you have to the contrary? |

Yeah, tech is right. . . That does sound rather biased . . so I went to http://www.ratherbiased.com/
Guess what? |

LOL! An anti-Rather web site?
Find a real source. |
LOL! "Say uncle...SAY UNCLE!" . . .isn't that what got people so pissed at you from the begining?
sheesh, I tell ya, I knew Dan Rather would spin. . .but I had no idea that there was a website just to track his spin. And, it comes up first in a google on his name! -yikes! |

If anyone lied, it was John Roberts. (edit) Actually reading back up the thread, I have realised I can't follow the train of where this is going. If I've inadvertently missed sarcasm, forgive me. |
there's a lot more to this story, and it's not as represented by the wacko fringe here.
The notes Berger 'removed' were notes he hinself made while in the Archives 10 months ago. That doesn't seem to be much of an issue. What is an issue is the several drafts of a 'millennium after-action' memo. hopefully, they were copied or backed up in some way. Why he'd take thaem is a puzzle, but it stinks -- have to agree on that. However, the leak on the investigation was purely a political act. Even this Republican says so: “Somebody is manipulating the process. I will say that categorically, for some agenda of some kind.” Republican strategist Eddie Mah |

Seems, reads, like the real thing to me. I'll tell ya what, tech; you find the "actual transcripts" of Rather, which are not consistant with that "non-real source" and I will say Uncle. |

"For six years after the April 19 Waco fire and deaths, the FBI insisted that it had only two Waco FLIR videotapes, the earlier one beginning at 10:42 a.m. Although the raid began at 6 a.m., the FBI claimed that there were no tapes from that period. In Hardy’s FOIA lawsuits, FBI said that it had interviewed the agent who operated the FLIR camera, and he confirmed that the taping began at 10:42; the chief of FBI’s Litigation Unit filed a sworn statement that no earlier tapes existed. However, in September 1999, the FBI admitted that it did have FLIR tapes going back to 6 a.m. on April 19. What Ghigliotti found indicated why the FBI was so intent on prohibiting the release of the earlier video, said Hardy. GAS PROJECTILES The FBI had been insisting that it had not shot pyrotechnic tear gas projectiles. Pyrotechnic projectiles start fires when used against buildings. And the audio track of the early morning FLIRs contained radio traffic showing FBI agents asking for, and receiving, permission to shoot military pyrotechnic projectiles. The FBI was caught in a lie again, said Hardy. AmericanFreePress Given the Clinton administration has a proven pattern of destroying evidence and covering up crimes, they have no ground to stand on and no logical foundation for their criminal handling of Waco. |

There are no facts linking any Republican to the leak, in fact the facts bare out that it was Berger and Clintons people who outed themselves and then decided to blame Republicans (as per Democrat protocol). |
That is what they proudly call themselves...Not my language, theirs.
I find that very hard to believe - do you have any evidence? The other stuff - basically, you are saying that Clinton is responsible for stuff the FBI did or didn't do at Waco. Is this the same sort of "responsible" that Bush is not when his intelligence agencies buggered up the WMD intelligence? You gotta pick one - either the mud sticks or it doesn't. |

To spread this idea, knowingly, by ommission or otherwise, is intentionally painting a false picture...in short, lying. Glad to be of service. |
