As to freight trains and dirt roads, I first thought it would be a compliment -- the train is so attracted to a girl's beauty, it would leave it's tracks! Then I did some hunting and discovered that many consider it an insult; don't know why.

Still trying to figure out 4-square dooger -- speeder, wasn't that you that used it? What's it mean?

that chinese arithmetic one is funny. but i guess the author of that one, thought it was hard because he didnt realize that mathematics is universal. yes even in japanese

Dooger= dog, (at least in Minnesota when I was a kid), "4 square"= complete (anything)...... Didn't mean to start so much confusion. "Freight train take a dirt road....", definitely means ugly where I'm from. The train would leave the tracks to avoid her.

Should have just said, "If I had a dog that looked like that, I'd shave its ass and teach it to walk backwards".

I always liked: "She's hangin' on him like a cheap suit", or "I'm all over that like a can of Sherwin Williams..."

Which reminds me of another -- I've always enjoyed "colder than the balls on a brass monkey." People at first think I'm a pervert, then I explain the nautical history of the phrase, and they realize that I'm just a Navy-dork.

Dan, that brass monkey line reminds me of my all time favorite television quote.
On one episode of MASH it was extremely cold. As the first colonel entered the tent (the guy before colonel potter, can't remember his name right now) he said " better keep the brass monkeys inside tonight" I don't think he was referring to cannon balls.
