Weird but interesting thread. Time travel and incest are two activities that are not attractive to me. Incest for obvious reasons and time travel because I'm afraid I'd change the present or go to great lengths to try to change my destiny, which, IMO, is impossible. No, I'd rather have powers of invisibility. The only way to find out what people are really up to is to see it for yourself.

As long as you're at/near the top of the pecking order, living in ancient Egypt, Greece, or Rome wouldn't be so bad. I would miss some of the technology, but think of the luxury and debauchery you could have. While having an all nude female sailing crew to get you around.... (some supply of automatic weapons and stun guns would be nice too, to control the masses just in case I've been found out.)

Then again, we barely could fly 100yrs ago, what kind of vehicles and machines will we have in 200 yrs???

You may want to have a bottle or two of antibiotics to fight off the Black Death and some of the more intimate diseases.

no no no... I am (fairly) sure that I picked the time periods that stressed health and hygiene. I'm not interested in the Middle Ages at all, for that very reason. All the ancient ruins have many examples of baths, public and private. Steam baths too. Oils and perfumes etc... Those may not *prevent* disease, but isn't hygiene and good health part of not having any serious illness-causing germs? I'm pretty sure I could pick a crew of healthy and virile olive-skinned beauties.
