I saw one in a video.. some dudes were chasing it down the freeway in Ft. Lauderdale.. it left them pretty hard then it shot all these flames out the back - huge fireball.. was pretty wild.. then this alien dood gets out and tells the kids not to worry, his ship does that all time.. he wasn't there to harm them..

I hope there's someone else out there. The Universe can be a lonely place.

My brother-in-law just got back from area 51. All sorts of great stories. He went out there with 5 of his buddies. Mind you he is the ultimate skeptic.
He has a buddy who's been out there like a dozen times and even been arrested for trespassing. Sure enough he said they all saw lights in the sky flying by each night and they were unidentified flying objects as he described, not falling stars mind you. At least that's what he told me.
He said the local merchants and such were all paranoid people who are all government conspiracy theorists. Aren't we all?

My Mom is very heavy into this subject and some of the stories are just un-real, but why some people can believe in this ? The one thing that stikes me the must is that we have never seen a real picture of the little allien, no that I am aware of, according to some sources in Puert Rico it appears that they have a base as they can be seen coming in and out of the water.

I have read a few books on the subject and it sure makes you think......

Does anyone think that Area 51 might be a testing ground for secret US aircraft? Makes sense to blame sightings on UFO's, then you don't have to explain your new prototype aircraft.

This is exactly what Dan Brown (author of "Da Vinci Code") theorizes in "Deception Point". It's pretty neat to read, like Da Vinci, except based on science instead of religion. It's hard to tell if that guy's really smart, or just wayyy out there.

On the subject of UFO's and the little grey men...I suspend belief or disbelief...I keep track of whats said, and watch to see if the pieces start to fit together.

Both Presidents Ford and Carter claim to have seen UFO's.

Jackie Gleason..you know Ralph Kramden....was a big supporter and friend of Richard Nixon....Gleason later told friends that Nixon gave him a tour of a Warehouse at Wright Patterson AFB that contained the bodies of Aliens recovered from Roswell. The story was told by the daughter of Sheilla McRae..who played Alice (2nd one after Audrey meadows) on Gleasons variety hour show on CBS?????.

But do aliens exist and are they behind the UFO?

Thats a no brainer. Just look up at the stars. Its very ignorant and stupid to think we the only ones in the universe. The universe is very old. The odds are they'll find us before we find them.

If aliens simply just landed and said here we are it would destroy life as we know it. Thats why most governments keep a lid on what they know so they can retain power over the people. AKA taxpaying cattle.

Well, if all is true about Mars once having water on it, and water is one of the main contributors to the formation of life, then there's a good chance we aren't the only ones out here (there).

So what is Area 51?

Do you guys remember a TV special back in the the late 70s that was supposedly a lab film of an alien dissection? It was spooky and really well done (for the 70s, anyway), and of course it turned out to be a hoax. Good stuff.

Just to comment on what David had to say: assuming "life' needs water is taking too narrow a view. Water is important to the life we know of but it isn't far fetched to assume that life can still exist without water. Water is just a solvent that Earthlife uses to transport waste, nutrients, and gases. Why not H2S at -100 C, or under exterme pressure, where H2S is liquid. Just a point to ponder.

Troy - excellent point. And what you say goes to show how easily our own knowledge of what life is can also show our ignorance toward what life could be. Enlightening.

So, does anyone know what Area 51 is supposed to be? Has there ever been a government statement about the place that anyone can remember?
