The Democratic Party of FDR and Harry Truman is LONG GONE. The party that championed the Rights of the small man is gone. Today what you have is a Democratic Party that is controled by an elite groups with lots of money. Gone is the idealism of the New Deal, it has been replaced with a cynicism, arrogance and greed. On one hand it is a win at any cost party, where the only ideal is one of situational ethics. The other hand it is one whose idealogy of socialism, spread your wealth, restict what you say and do for the common good as determined by them. In other words a Party of Bankrupt ideals.
This is the sea change you see in Zell Miller...Zell loved the party of the New Deal but has grown to detest the avarice, arrogance and divisivness that plagues the New Democratic Party, and Zell isn't the only one who see's it....

Zeke...I don't know whether to think that you paid me a complement by saying iI plagerized..that it was not as good as what I had written in the past or U thought it was far better?
Believe me I wrote it...it was hard to write it came slow. I feel I failed in my central purpose..I was not writing about Zell but using him as a point of reference. The point I wanted to make is that all this bickering and divisivness provides our enemies opportunity to attack us. Further and the MAIN point was that there are those who don't care about the country but think it still is business as usual and use divisivness for their own Political gain. They don't realize that what they could wind up with is a pyric victory.

Democrat Zel hit a grand slam last night. If the Republicans want to win, all they need do is run clips from his speech from now til November.

So all it takes is for a dem to come to the GOP side, look like a half-awake Mussolini behind the podium as he gives the opposition a new a-hole, and then he's instantly a "good ol' boy," not that Zel wasn't one to begin with? Is that what the Republicans tout as reaching out beyond their constituency?
Pathetic. ![]() The man looked crazed with seething anger. He spewed out stats on Kerry anyone can look up on the Internet & with that said nothing new. All he did was galvanize the party's hardline stance. So much for reeling in the undecided vote with vitriolic war talk... Zel zonked!

I disagree, he said out loud and in public what the press won't and that's Kerry's voting record in the Senate. I can see a vote here or there against some things because that's how the process works, but Kerry has consistently voted for arming our troops with "spitballs" and the other thing that steams Zell is Kerry's disrespect for any military guys who weren't "on his boat" by blanket accusing them all of atrocities.
At the DNC convention, it was Kerry's war record, the Swifties started to sink that little boat, now they want to discuss the record, but Zell did that too. Where next for the DNC?

You all miss the point..this is not about Kerry. Kerry is only the point man, the symbol of the DNC. If you all listened closely Zell didn't even say the word Kerry for the first couple of minutes.
Kerry is merely a blip on the radar an inconsequential Senator who doesn't know which way the wind is blowing until someone tells him... The Issue is larger than Kerry, it's about a Party that is run by Limosene Liberals whose credo is elitism.... bash America first crowd...and that is not the party of FDR nor Harry Truman...GET IT? Thats what this fight is about..whose vision of America are we going to have..the Limosenes Liberals elitism or GW's corporate Welfare State....which provides jobs and revenue

All do respect, Theodore:
1) Yes, this is all about Kerry, because Kerry might well bounce George out of the White House and give the GOP a good taste of what they fear. If they think otherwise, then they may as well hand over the door keys now. 2) The word, or identifier in this case, is spelled L-I-M-O-U-S-I-N-E. ![]()

dd, tabs is spot on; the Limobscene Liberals are just more of the bash America first crowd. They prey on those who feel uncomfortable with taking a stand. . . .unless it's a stand to save the Darter-Snail. . ."humans, (except those in the elite crowd, wink-wink) well they're just garbage. . .every elite knows that"

Do U want "Meathead" Rob Reiner telling you..you can't smoke cigars...in your own house, in your own backyard, because of second hand smoke.
Do you want the Govenment to control what you can buy or can't buy...because you can't be trusted to handle it properly... More laws, more restricitons to help you save yourself from yourself... and who is there to tell you how to save yourself ...a Limousine Liberal.... Well Kerry should I start wiping with my left hand now that you've taken office?

Arnold can't be President. You must be a natural born citizen and have lived in the US for at least 14 years. Is this another New Jersey liberal attempt to change the rules?

Zell's a fruitcake. Total fruitcake. And not a liberal, and a democrat in name only. A kook. I'm very surprized he was chosen as the convention's keynote speaker. Beyond pathetic. Island thinks his remarks are irrefutable. I do not.
I think tabs' remarks are quite intriguing, with important truths.

All that can be debated, but where Zell Miller draws the line is when the anti-war, 60's crowd jumps up and queers the issue of how to execute the war on terror.

Kerry is merely the spearhead of the Liberal wing the standard bearer to warm the seat in the White House....Zell was cutting off the spearhead so he doesn't get there.
However the reasons why Zell changed sides are the ones I illuminated...He sees the elietism in the Democratic Party and doesn't like it...he's of the old school and is a good ole boy from Georgia...an FDR Harry Truman Democrat...thats why the Deep South votes Repblican...ever since Nixon.
