Yesterday Morning in Downtown LA
So...I work in Downtown LA.
Yesterday morning at least two blocks in the center of the financial district were closed for hours due to some "threat" but so far I haven't been able to find anything reported on it. I heard rumors that there was an unauthorized vehicle parked in front of a building, that there was a bomb threat and that it was simply an excersize. The cops wouldn't tell anyone anything. Things were closed down for at least 2 hours. The exits to 6th were closed and no foot traffic was allowed on Fig between 7th and 5th. People were not allowed in their buildings during this time. I just want to know what was going on... Anyone else work downtown and experience this?

When I was in LA there were things happening all the time. I used to live in the artist district and they would run their drills downtown on the weekends.
So, if it was during the week, there was probably a real threat, or a false alarm. Either way, the downtown threat response is very active. Side note: PM your Phone # I'm no longer in Downtown LA, but go up there every once in awhile. I usually end up @ Nick & Stephs steakhouse in the wells fargo plaza or McCormicks ( library tower ). I still keep in touch with our " Group "..... Anyway, maybe we could GTG for a beer next time up up there..
