Good try djm but you need more time in etymology class.

douche: French, from Italian doccia, from docciare to douche, from doccia water pipe, probably back-formation from doccione conduit, from Latin duction-, ductio means of conveying water, from ducere to lead

The German verb is duschen, probably a bastardized spelling of douche.

"slightly right leaning"

LOL, "slightly".

The only reason their website isn't very right leaning is because much of their news comes from AP. At least they can't be accused of hiding their rightwingness.

Heh, thanks for going to the trouble to inform me about the history and use of the word "douche".

I just like the way it sounds when applying to someone I don't like. I really like it when Jon Stewart uses it, as in when he refers to Robert Novak as Robert "douche-bag" Novak. Jon rules.

If you're really interested in the lexicon definition, the word comes from the German douche which means "shower." For example, "Ich mochte eine douche machen" would be "I'd sure like to take a shower." Aghhhh! Mein/Mine Eyes. Make it stop......

lol, but don't I get credit for making a convincing effort? Come now, it was pretty good, for a lexicon entry pulled straight out of my arse, no?

CBS was fined for showing Janet Jackson's breast at Superbowl half-time...not "Rathergate."
