Now THAT was a game! Sox walk off in 10
Arroyo pitched better than either Schilling or Pedro the nights before. It was 6-1 in the 7th inning... and then the unthinkable happened: Vlad Guerrero hit a grand slam to tye it after a runner was walked in. In come Keith Foulke and Derek Lowe to keep it a tied game. Cabrera and Mueller had to make some great plays to keep it that way, too.
Then, I called it. With a runner on and 2 out, the Angels decided to go with their #1 starter, Jerrod Washburn (okay, this move doesn't make sense to me... who would they have pitched against Schilling if the series went 5 games?). When Washburn was warming up, I turned to MikeCT and said, "watch this, first pitch swinging, walk-off homer." Seriously. Those were the exact words.    how sweep it is

That was an intense game for sure....I thought Scioscia made great moves all game until he brought Wasburn in. Ortiz has great numbers against Washburn. That was a good call on Francona's part not to take out Ortiz for a pinch runner earlier in the game.
