Did George Bush help the enemies plight by publicly trashing the government of the United States? No

IMO both served their country admirably but only acted like traitor afterwards.

Talk about historically innacurate...Kerry applied for a deferment which was rejected,,,then joined the Navy to avoid being drafted into the Army or Marine Corps....He volunteered to join the (safer) Navy to cruise around on a deepwater nuclear missile cruiser.

Kerry lied and there are signed statements that he convinced others to lie to back up his story. None of Kerry's "witneses" were ever willing to sign depositions affirming their claims. Later investigators were unable to confirm any of the reported atrocities, and discovered that most of the "witnesses" had never even been in Vietnam, had never been in combat, or were imposters who had assumed the identity of real veterans.

VVAW Executive secretary Al Hubbard who claimed to have been an Air Force captain wounded piloting a transport over Da Nang in 1966 was not a pilot or even an officer. He was a staff sergeant who was never assigned to Vietnam....just another piece of trash attempting to steal the honor and valor of those who actually did serve their country well.

Or the young man who had to take Kerry's place when he lied to get a purple heart that allowed him to return after only 4 months....or worse yet...all the young men (POWs) who were tortured in Kerry's name ..while he met with the VC leadership in Paris. or while he slandered them to Congress and in front of their friends and family on national TV.

The military has standards and proceedures for issueing purple hearts and letting you out early, take your beef up with them.

Too bad they assumed that an officer would not lie..or submit one incorrectly....and through trhe wrong channels (after being turned down when submitted correctly) to receive one...At least in Kerry's case, we have found that was a bad assumption.
