Wow. Does anyone know of an emulator or something that makes these games work on a PC? I don't really want to buy a TV console game. May have to, though....

It is the only reason I purchased my PS2... I am getting a little tired of '24 hours of lemans' for PC (although it is a great game with all kinds of porsches).

The gameplay never looks as good as those screen shots.. Too bad though, a set or virtual reality glasses and something like that, I'd never leave the house.

There is a reason they call it "driving simulator"

Mine is already reserved and the wait is killing me...it's good that it comes out in winter, when all the tracks are closed anyway, and roads are covered w/ salt and crap.

Hey, whats up with the lack of Porsche content. Does Porsche not allow them to use the name or what, really detracts from the game.

For the best PC game I have played with heavy porsche content, check this one out:
http://www.gamezone.com/gamesell/p18092.htm

You can usually find it on ebay around $10 (they seem to crop up every other week).

Whoa.

I personally prefer the Rally driving games, but that there is some impressive video processing.

hey slacker, give it a shot... when you see the nuances (in steering input, throttle control, even weight transfer) that they make you aware of and force you to master, just to get the licenses needed to go and race wheel to wheel, you'll see it's more than the pretty pictures. And... it has a rally section too...

Electronic Arts has the licensing from Porsche AG to use their cars in video games. EA makes the Need For Speed series, nt Gran Turismo. There is a secret code in Gran Turismo 3 that allows you to unlock a 996 GT3 in the game, but i dont know it offhand

It'll never look anything like as good as those shots. Remember this plays on your TV with a max res of 640x480, its just not gonna happen. It also won't even touch on realistic, cos then it would alienate most of the buyers.

This is the one to watch:
