Does anyone know when the PS3 is due to be released? Is it for Christmas 2005? I'm thinking I cannot wait that long and may pick up the small new PS2.

Plenty of GT4 eye candy here:

Thanks.

Alf,

Thought so. Your name sounded familiar.

Some of my favourite people in the business are at MSFT. Nancy R. Kelly T. are both great people. You know a guy named Noah Ulman?

Noah works down the hall from me, he just bought a Targa and is Arkman on this board. Did you know him from his games days?

Forza looks interesting. The name is "ferrariesque" does that mean it will only have eye-talian cars? Any more details on that title?

I could not tell you more than what is already in the press about Forza Its got a whole bunch of other cars from STis to LMP.

Check out Project Gotham Racing 2 as well. As Roman pointed out above you could drive just about any Porsche from a 73RS to a Carrera GT. That and i worked on that game damm it

I still have the PS1 with Need for Speed -- Porsche sealed in shrinkwrap, because I didn't find the physics of racing games (GT) to relate well to the real world.

Anyone here into RTS (real-time strategy) games?

I'm deep into Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour, having conquered all the prior C&C games and the entire StarCraft series...

I have PG2 as well, that's why in a back to back comparo it seems that the "feel" of driving PG2 cars is lacking when compared to GT. The game looks nice but somehow feels artificial. Yes, the behavior of the cars is there, so there is a difference in how the RS feels vs. a 360, and they do swing the tail out if you back off the gas mid corner, but somehow, something's missing. Can't really put it into words.

What I do like about PG2 is that it allows me to drive the 'Ring before I ever get to on GT4 (impatience) and the game/system really makes online racing a simple and seamless experience. Wonder how easy this will be in GT4.

Forza vs. GT4 will surely be a great matchup.

I have both, the Xbox, and PS2. Whats the difference.,.,.,nothing really, both have great grafics, both have great game titles. I havent gone into the "online', or 'live' playing side of either machines. I guess what it comes down to is what games you like.

But then again, neither come close to PC games.

Alf,

No way!

Noah's a great guy, i was really sad when he left Acclaim. I was really fond of him and am sorry we feel out of touch.

So he bought a Targa. I remember years ago he wanted a Spyder replica.

Ask him about when he lived on the boat.

I owe him a couple of bottles of port on a bet that I lost to him.

He'll probably bring it up.

I need to send him a PM.

Scott Jenkins

edit, his handle is arkman? Is he living on the boat again?
