Nov. 12th it starts all over again
There is a storm brewing.
Ten days after the election Ohio starts counting it's provisional ballots.....................November 12th. On December 12th the votes become final. Expect to see stories on voting irregularities like "electronic fraud" to start showing up next week in the main streem press. Like what? Like the Diebold type voting machines were not tested but certified anyway............the password on the main computer in which all votes (even the optically scanned ones) were recorded was "password" and several partisan people (republicans) were left alone/given access to it unsupervised. The court cases pending, and organizations using the "Freedom of Information Act" are gathering a well storm of documents and controversy and so on. Of course everyone is tired of election stuff and killing Arabs has the headlines, when the timing is right, expect to see the lawyers crawl out of their holes and grab a microphone. This week could be the lull before the storm, all heck could be breaking lose soon (Dem's don't want to cry WOLF just yet)......................get some rest and try to get back to your normal lives.;) The Smoking Gun thread at the Charlie Rose website has lots of information and links, enjoy. http://boards.charlierose.com/board/topic.asp?ti=9804&pg=1 PS: More butterfly maps: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~mejn/election/ |
I'm sure they'll find new evidence of beating a dead horse.
|
The voice of democracy is not a dead horse, unless you know something I don't.;)
|
I just wish both republicans and democrats alike would join forces and become passionate about conforming voting standards and practices.
|
That would be nice....then there would be no excuses...but like many things it comes down to the money....I know penny wise but in the long run pound foolish...especially if American Democracy goes the way of the Dodo bird.

I always enjoy a good conspiracy theory.
Why is it that to be a good conspiracy - you have to form a conclusion and then go about trying to prove it. "Black Box Voting has taken the position that fraud took place in the 2004 election through electronic voting machines... What we do not know is the specific scope of the fraud. We are working now to compile the proof..." "Now, there is a film crew who has been brave enough to capture what's really going on" - Here comes Michael!!! And this is the best line of the investigation team: "Black Box Voting is a nonpartisan...group" Apparently nonpartisan does not mean nonidealogical. |
The "Black Box Voting" chick is a regular over at Democraticunderground.com. To say it's non partison is laughable.

When the **** hits the fan, I'm going to say; I told you so. Here's to all the votes being counted, and all cases of fraud being prosecuted.http://www.strato.net/~grouper/beer.jpg |
Take a vacation or something man. This is getting pathetic. I watched the Keith Olberman thing and laughed my ass off. I spent 2 minutes on google and shot holes all through his arguments. You guys need a better grip on reality.
Best of luck. |

It's very discouraging. I get it all the time... My name is mike - I work in information security but my job description specifically states that I have to say "no" to everything you might want to do. It's a tactic to discourage you from trying anything at all not because the system you've designed has security flaws that can't be overcome without drastic redesign but because sending you back to the drawing board gives me the most time to spend on the Pelican OT board during the day. That's it? Oh, sorry . . .this just in; Kerry has only $14.50 for each of Bush's extra votes . .. but the price is $21.95 per vote. Still out of reach. |
Losing with dignity is an art that many have not mastered.

You guys are pretty easy to jab, don't be so sensitive.:) |
If Kerry conceded, isn’t that it. Even if the provisional ballots are counted and, miracle upon miracle, Kerry got the votes he needed, would it still matter? I don’t know the law but I would assume it’s over once he conceded the election.
I myself have enjoyed the spirited debate leading up to the election. I have found some members of this board to be trolls. Other, came to the board with facts instead of slander. And others that mixed the slander with the facts very well. Myself, I learned that I didn’t know as much as I though I did. When people debated with information, it was informative. I didn't vote for him, and I didn't vote for him last time, but he's my president and I support him. Now I can only hope that he can create a democracy in Iraq. It is my belief that this is the only way that we can stem terrorism. Building a country based on democracy, not on the king's privilege, is the only way to offer the future would-be-terrorist an alternative. |
