Yes, and as I read your factually deficient, intellectually dishonest, childish fabrications; I wish you were still delivering pizzas.....

Oh wait…you are.

Let me see if I get this right..

Because, at the beginning, I made a statement that I felt for the folks left in that Hell hole, I was labelled as somehow being unAmerican. I resent that. I truly resent that.

Then, throughout the discussion, everyone who disagrees with the current policies is somehow unAmerican (of course, Aural IS not American, but there is a slight but obvious difference between the two concepts). That is an insult to every free citizen who believes in discussing things in an open and honest forum without fear of reprisal or ridicule.

All those who can be labelled on way or another, are being labelled, by the same posters showing both a lack of debating skills and a retreat to the lowest form of argument. I decline from naming names. You know who you are.

You know, folks, I generally try not to take sides, but to present alternatives that could be considered. When I have, the general response from a few is "interesting; let's talk"..and to others, these observations are dismissed out of hand since they do not agree totally with preconceived ideas that can neither be proven or disproven, but have become simply overused hackneyed phrases devoid of meaning and based in nothing. It is as if a new approach or a different viewpoint is a dangerous thing and must, at all costs, be avoided.

Sure, we have to work to maintain this country. That means real work, not clipping coupons. That sometimes means putting our life on the line at times to defend our fellow citizens. That would include volunteering for the armed forces, learning about the world and willing to go without some of the so-called pleasures for awhile. Personally, I think the draft should be reinstituted and every individual under 35 should spend two years in the service of his or her country. Then, perhaps, some of you flag wavers might learn a little about what is out there first hand rather than quoting your favorite blogger, whether that blogger be from the left or the right. Heck, you might even learn how to listen and compromise. Neither are a crime. Yet.

I am not here to be labelled by those who do not know me. I am not here to have any single ideaology crammed up my butt to the exclusion of other ideas. I am not going to follow any leader lockstep into an uncertain future. You want a similarity between another historical era and today? In both cases there were followers that would believe anything the leader said or did was not to be questioned. You see, it is not the leader that in the end determines the outcome, but the loyal followers who carry out the orders without question.

End of rant. Kindly keep your negative and sarcastic responses to yourselves. They will be ignored.

Whether it is because liberals are misguided...or because they do it intentionally...the effect is the same. How could you possibly see it any differen? Heck..the terrorists actually quote the Democratic leadership. What more proof do you need?

I can somehow imagine you rounding up dissenters w/ unbridaled glee in any of several fascistic military dictatorships throughout history......

Wow, all this time I was working as a machinist and doing some contract IT work I must have been delivering pizza's without even noticing it.

It would seem that I pay much better attention to all the stories you post about what you have been up to, even when they are not consistent, than you have to mine.

Glad things are going better for you now.

mmmmmm

Its really good to see such lively debate on a porker forum, I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong but from sitting here in England, the rest of the world does kind of see things a bit differently.

And before anyone thinks I'm anti US, I'm not, I've lived there, worked there, travelled etc etc etc and pretty much its all good.

How does the rest of the world see it-
Well when G20 meet and the question of how to support the $ comes up and it gets ignored its not really a vote of confidence.

And whether the head guy likes it or not the Russians have made sure that Koyoto isn't going away either.

Or when the most popular e-mails are clips of the head guy's latest guff

Now I'm not saying anything is right or wrong but as an observation - recent events and actions have not been popular on the world stage, and though many people appreciate its OK to do the right thing for the wrong reasons there is a slight uneasiness in the abilities of the head guy

All IMHO

fintstone 12-02-2004 04:22 PM

Don't let him fool you like he does the liberals here...the head guy....is the head guy because he is brilliant.

g3ngs 12-02-2004 05:05 PM

oh good thats OK then
