Thats what i was thinking too... Is Craftsman independent of Sears? Im not sure it is. I do know that OSH carries Craftsman stuff. Although, lately i have been buying Husky stuff, simply because it's at Home Depot, I dont have to drive across town to Sears, and it has a lifetime warranty as well...

Just thinking back to my teenage days when i ould go around to garage sales on Saturday mornings and buy as much Craftsman stuff as i could, then take it all back to Sears for new tools, no questions asked.

I'm also still amazed they they took back my dad's torque wrench that he bought in the early 60's and gave me a new one

Is it just me, or is it that you can go to any K-Mart and the store layout and displays suck and the place always seems dirty. I'd feel more comfortable in K-Mart if I were wearing rubber gloves. Each store seems to be falling apart. They have to hire the most anti-social employees.

I read some commentary a while back that said off the boat immigrants love K Mart for that very reason. The chaos and messyness reminds them of the stret bazaars.

Last time I stopped in one, there was a guy blatently unpackaging a set of cheapo tools for the 5 finger discount. Which has nothing to do with anything I previously said....
