We have views, we just choose not to generally express them on here.

Any views I may have expressed here have been my own, and are in no way the views of my company or co-workers.

Basically, I'm a conservative liberal, or a liberal conservative. Also known as middle of the road. Most people are deep down.

I've never seen any evidence that either the Rs or Ds have it all right, or are even close for that matter. What determines most peoples party of choice is the side that best reflects themselves/are in their best interest.

Options, you see. You forgot you have options.
Shows what you know about marketing - I'm not gonna hang where it ain't no fun - and neither will anyone else. I expect that's exactly why this board has been distilled down to a Republican/biblethumping hothouse. The lefties are voting with their mice and staying away in droves. So what you have left (unfortunate, that) is basically a daily circle-jerk of bush appologists. This happens on most boards - they eventually adopt a culture of some kind - the hawks have just taken over this one.

Who wants to listen that drivel day-in, day-out?

I think PP is paying a price, that's not a threat - just an observation.

Please, this is pathetic. Grown men using the "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" crap.

I am at a loss for why you guys scroll all the way down to a secondary forum only to be "bashed" as you say. It would seem you control your own destiny, no?

What would you have them do, delete the forum? Or force us to agree with you? Did I miss an option? Maybe we could just be nicer and stroke your egos every now and then?

This has to be a joke.

I think the board lately has been a bit off center. Between some of us posting under multiple - aliases (anyone in particular come to mind Lynn?) and the Trolls who don't even own Porsches it's been pretty messed up lately.

I for one ain't gonna lie. I buy from Pelican for it's rightful merits -

Service
Usability
Selection
PRICE (which leads me to believe that despite all your suicide threats, you'll still be a customer)
Attention to detail
Technical info

AND NOTHING ELSE. I am a customer and I spend my $$$ here.

All to all of those willing to penalize PP for what I SAID

If I may offer a bit of advice-

Life is too short to be critical over such differences. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Yes it's funny. A total lack of maturity in my opinion. If you get your wish and Wayne shuts this down(his perogative) I will gladely host the same forum on my site.

I am off for the night but am sure I will have some interesting reading for the morning coffee.

Tune in tomorrow for the next episode of "as the Pelican flys"

Observation one: if the 48% of Dems, libs, socialists, or whatever "the left" has led themselves to believe they are being called, in turn abandoned PP, the majority of customers PP has would have heard about this as PP would probably close down. That hasn't happened, so Lynn, you are far off base. No one seems to have jumped ship - not at least since Nov. 2nd.

Observation two: this thread is approximately seven hours and fifteen minutes old, and the two people who said they have abandoned the PP OT forum still have the little check marks on their log in, still lit amber. That says something, doesn't it?

How much for the Dem-CryBaby logo, on a hat?

Seriously, some of you need how to learn how to separate business from emotion over political arguments. Do you think that widebody, or Cam, or 350hp are getting all emotional? Thom still seems to have no prob's; still throws the liberal handgernades over the OT wall and goes straight back to buying/building, or breaking something 911.

Well Lynn, I maintain that you don't have a problem here because you are a liberal, you have a problem here because you are . . . er . ..uhmm . . . how do I tell you . .. Well; You may catch on if you sleep on it tonight.

I thought you "lob" a grenade...

Anyway...

...now, if I had a Speedster, I'd buy one of these. Heck, if you put a yellow mid-year 911 with flares on a hat like this, I'd buy one. Why? Because I'm a fan whose "fan-ship" transcends political affiliations.

Heed Island's advice and disassociate yourself from your emotions over a through election-day ass-whipping (I knew some ***** like this would come up on this board...).

Life goes on, friend, whether you want it to or not...

Jason, please ask Wayne to read Joe's email. Ask him if he thinks it makes good business sense to run off whatever the number of potential customers is of the 48% who voted democrat in this election and own Porsches from this board.

Jason,

Please ask Wayne to read my response then read the posts by Lynn! He said that he is seen as a "cry baby, whining bleeding heart liberal" and here he goes on to prove it!

I could care less what his political leanings are but Jeez H Christ his wimperings here are pathetic! Wayne and the OT forum have NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH THE PRICE OF PORSCHE PARTS ON PELICAN but Lynn and now Joe Clarke seem to think that they can turn this around and get some mileage out of it!?? Buy your frigging 911 parts where you get the best service and price, and who in the world cares what their political leanings are!

A man with a backbone would have not posted something like this in the first place and just left the OT board if they did not agree with the posts. After dealing with 951.5 the last week and his liberal friends there I was under the impression that over half of the posts on the OT forum were leaning far liberal but it did not make me whine and cry to Wayne about it!

As I said before, if you are silly enough to act like this, please sell the 911 to a man with a set between his legs and buy a Pinto and drive off into the sunset along with Kerry and Teddy!

I buy from Pelican Parts, because I like the forums. Yes, including OT.

I don't equate what happens here in OT land with Wayne's opinions anymore than I would decifer ebay managements opinions buy what people sell there.

I appriciate this opportunity to exchange ideas. For instance, I usually disagree with Superman, but he always makes me think. Whenever I have to evaluate my opinions, I don't see it as an attack, I see it as stretching my mind. Some respond thoughtfully (hopefully I do), and some respond, um..... less so.

Lynn,

BTW, just looked at your hat on Ebay. Very nice work and if you were selling 911 hats would buy one. I could care less who made it nor what their political leanings were.

In fact I would buy one from you as you are a Pelicanite over someone else, but this whining... it just does not help you or anyone else!

I actually think the whole premise is unfair... it implies that PP is turning their backs to their customers by not "managing" the tone in this forum. Kinda rude, actually. If you were a guest at a party, and didn't like the conversation, would you complain to the host? Probably not. You'd probably engage in conversation and defend your point of vue. If you found the conversation particularly offensive, you might leave... but you'd probably thank the host before you left.

I understand what you're getting at, and I recognize the problem... it's hard to have a debate when people resort to personal attacks.

At this point, I'm going to pass this thread on to Wayne. I can't say for sure how, or if at all, he'll react to it.

The last time he took action was here:

******OFF TOPIC FORUM CHANGES******

You'll even see an old familiar banned member, bragging about handing out verbal pummelings.

The thing is, you guys need to police yourselves to an extent. Righties need to be less abrasive and intentionally confrontational to Lefties...AND VICE VERSA.

You fellas, (and ladies), are all adults. You have a responsibility to your self to handle yourself with class, and self-respect. Let's not forget respecting others.

Maybe you guys should meet up in the mountains, and smoke a peace-0pipe or something...

So what exactly are we debating? Whether Lynn has the right to dictate the responses he gets in this public forum? And his leverage is what exactly? Threatening to take away (or from his tone - the entire Democratic Party) support of Pelican?

Arrogant, and unreasonable.

This whole thread is asinine.. Who is exactly asking Lynn or his pals to stick around? There is no benefit from his departure or staying from my end of things, I could really care less.

You might as well have announced that you're gonna sue us all Lynn for our beliefs. This whole carrying on really isn't necessary.

You really need to start your own BBS if the urge for validation is that strong. You can ban me the moment I sign up...

Anyone know of a single BBS with calm political discussions? Thick skin should be a pre-requisite for reading this forum.

Trolls who don't even own Porsches?? Yoiks! And here I was thinking this was a great spot for enthusiasts to learn more about their favorite marque before they "take the plunge". Do you consider anyone who posts but does not own a Porsche a troll?
