"WHO's Your Daddy???"

New reality TV from Fox.

A genuine orphan girl is 'introduced accidentally' to someone who proclaims that he is her long lost father.

If he 'convinces' her, he wins the money. If she doesn't fall for it, she gets the money.

Now THAT is reality TV.

To put this on the air, they must have done away with "the literacy hour" or "whats left of f*cking western civilization hour"

We have become the lowest common denominator.

Man, who could watch a show based on such a messed up premise. Everyone will end up in therapy/ on medication forever.

How about a reality show called "Freight Dogs?" You could mount a camera inside the cockpit of a Beech D-18 and follow the crew's progress from one terminal to another, in the middle of the night, with all the maintenance issues, delays, weather issues, ATC re-routes, company policies, and the grit and seaminess of the air cargo industry!

I would watch THAT!

I forgot for a moment why I had gotten rid of my TV. Now I remember, and have no remorse for its loss.

I've got one.
How about you have some trailer park tramp sleep with a bunch of guys. Unprotected of course. Then after she gives birth she gets to collect welfare, food stamps, assisted living allowances and pick who she wants to be the father. Then we follow his journey through the court system and see what kind of hell he goes through like wage garnishment, liscence revocation, child support etc.
In order to "WIN" he has to prove he's NOT the pappa before she gives birth to her next bastard offspring.
Now that would be reality.

Z, don't hold back, it's a free-for-all here in OT!

Well, I thought the freight thing would be cool, anyway.

Thats f'ed up TV. And who defined this as "Reality"? When in "reality" does an orphan get adopted by her biological father and live happily ever after? More like gets adopted my the biological father after he's gone through re-hab and now she has 8 years of being molested.

Heres a show pitch. All of these people from each network who come up from these shows are placed on Bikini Atol in groups (we're going back to roots with survivor here). Then you don't get voted off, your beheaded. The last group standing has 30minutes to get off the island before an nuclear bomb goes off. The host? That dick from Fear Factor. Now thats an F'n show!

John C, Sing...You guys catch that reality show on History Channel called "Spitfire"? Two one-hour shows early evening Monday where they took a group of guys, tested them and chose one to receive basic flight- and advanced Spitfire flight training. I missed the first 15 minutes, so I may be misrepresenting the premise a little.

The chosen pilot had the touch over more experienced pilots. A nice moment at the end when the Battle of Britain veteran pilot chatted with the young guy. He explained his trick of flying with rudder trim so it appeared to pursuers that he was flying a little to the right (or left) of his true direction. In pursuit, he would correct the trim. Then, the veteran took the controls of a trainer Spitfire and I bet it made his day.

While the veteran flew, he voiced over in conversation something to the effect: "Those were the best days of my life. Though, I've had nightmares about it ever since."

Truly just the next generation of Jerry Springer genre, even the local Spanish language channels doin the same. Dysfunctional people wanting their 15 mins. Armies of no-class low-lifes just waiting to be seen on TV.

Whats next? I guess this has been going on for years on TV abroad...and more importantly, what is the long term residual effect on the masses of lemmings out there?
