Dioxin poisoning: Boy did Viktor Yushchenko get screwed

Apparently he has the 2nd highest level of Dioxins ever recorded. Scientists are narrowing down the type so they can possibly identify the source....should get interesting. Think someone would have used one of those 007 poisons that don't leave a trace.

chemical weapons in action. Putin is the one who ordered the KGB to do it. I also think Putin played some role in the school massacre to use as an excuse to role back rights of russians.

Does anyone know, if his disfigurement permanent, or is this going to go away with time? I thought there might be some scientist or doctors here that may know.

I read it may improve with time when the dioxin levels in his body decrease, but it will takes several years. Dioxin is very hard to get rid off.

Dioxin in MUCH lower levels is know to cause many different types of cancers. They say he's out of the woods regarding immediate health.
What gets me is that Dioxin is an industrial by-product/waste material and they're saying that they may be able to find the source of where it was purchased....?????

They figured out what type of Dioxin was used. Will be interesting to see how far they can go with the evidence.

"TCDD was a key ingredient of Agent Orange, a herbicide blamed for myriad health problems in U.S. veterans of the Vietnam War and local villagers. It is produced inadvertently during manufacturing processes that use chlorine, such as paper and pulp bleaching. It is also given off by incinerator fumes. There is no commercial production of TCDD.

The tests also confirmed that Yushchenko's blood contained 100,000 units of dioxin, the second highest concentration ever recorded."
