If you consider the simple fact that the officer told the gentleman more than once NICELY to cooperate, to which the suspect refused even under force, you don't have a problem with that?

The problem i have is why its NOT ok for the cop to shoot him between the eyes.

If you beleive that the use of a tazer is bad, therefor, you also beleive that its ok for a drunk driver to kill someone you love. So if your ever at a funeral for someone you loved who was unforunatly killed by a drunk driver, bring this story up. Tell everyone that if you were the drunk driver, you'd sued anyone who would have stopped you from possibly killing someone else.

You can hear the cop trigger the taser, and you see the bad guy go down like Monica Lewinski. What proof do you need?

Why is this such a difficult concept for you to understand? When the cop tells you to put your hands behind your back, you put your hands behind your back. If you don't, or decide to wrestle with him, or try and leave, bad things will happen to you.

What is more amazing is how stupid the guy in the video is. He has already been lit up like a baked potato, the cop repeatedly tells him to get on the ground or he will get it again, and he keeps getting up.

As far as I know it was a gun and he shot the gun in the left shoulder. The video is to grainy to determine either way.

There is much debate over using stun guns. They have killed quite a number of people already. Everyone knows that cops pepper spray anybody for anything. The recent abuse of stun guns on small children is just showing whats down the road. Wait until you get pulled over and some stupid cops uses one of these on your wife or kids over next to nothing.

Sure this drunk guy was out of line. Cop should have called for back up. I was a bartender and knew who to handle drunks, picked up quite few and launched them. If a trained, armed cop can't do the same he don't need a badge.

You must be unaware of this little tidbit of information, but guns are loud. They make a rather pronounced "Bang" when fired. This sound is much louder than say, normal conversation, or the click-click-click of a taser being triggered, both of which can be clearly heard in the tape. Grainy has nothing to do with it.

...and I'm guessing you've no cops as friends. When the guy went for his truck, he could have been going for a weapon, or to drive off and potentially kill someone. He WAS drunk. He was beligerant, and simple decent human cooperation with the cop would have avoided it. What it your son or daughter was playing 50 feet down the road... Would you feel differently about "waiting for backup" then?

When I get pulled over, I follow instructions, don't make sudden moves, and don't give them ANY reason to be suspicious... It's that easy. If my wife or kids acted like that to a cop, I wouldn't argue about use of a taser....

Yes, there are cops that are jerks out there, they are a microcosm of society... But I'm sorry, this guy was justified.

And I have had a cop pull a gun on me at a traffic stop. Scared the crap out of me but I listened, cooperated and things went fine. It was my sudden movement that caused it ( I was 17, doh! ) . I was trying to get my registration out of the door pocket as he approached the truck. I learned a very valuable lesson that I teach my kids.

I had the samething happen from a LA cop. Then I got arrested and both cops complained about how they should have just blown us away and did the paper work and get a 2 week paid vaction. Those cops were nothing more than serial killers but they got hired as cops to hide their sick inner feelings for beating and killing people and get paid for it and hide behind the badge.

Most cops are bullies or were picked on a kids and need revenge. If your not a cop your not one of them and on the other side, aka suspect for something. There are a few good cops here and there but that is the exception not the rule.
