Did Mr. Krieger get a job at Motor Meister?
|
reading the e-mail back and fourth is like a trip down BAD memory lane for me. The same old progression, funny, as a buyer, the more questions asked and information requested, the more of an AZZhole Kreiger becomes.
Ha, and all be damned, he sent you the wrong engine pic & serial #.......Ha! Steve 1973 911 T MFI Coupe, Aubergine |
Is he a licensed dealer in CA.? Because it is completely, 100% not allowed to keep any part of a deposit from a prospective buyer if he or she does not wind up buying the car. Even if he is not a licensed dealer, the law is on your side.
Get ahold of some regulatory agencies, (google search to find which ones), and go after this slime. And FWIW, that is one 3rd rate POS car. All of the good early 911s have left the room, a long time ago. If you do not already have one, pick a different object of desire. You could actually own a great Porsche for the $$ you were about to waste on that toilet. |
If the deposit was paid by credit card, I'd pull it. I read the thread, but maybe not good enough to see if it was paid by CC.
At any rate. I would not buy a car for $5k from this guy. He will give NOTHING away. If anyone will NOT have a good deal, it is him. Total scammer that lies to your face without blinking an eye and puts his "expertise" over your lowly hobby knowlege immediately to put you at "ease". I almost got burnt on a set of genuine Fuchs from this guy. When I asked if they were genuine on the phone, I got the "Blabla 40 years Porsche ... don't insult me ... blabla, know what genuine Fuchs are blabla." Lucky for me, I went and picked them up in person ... they were fakes ... so it only cost me a drive to the City. Unbelievable. It is worrisome that this clown is back. He has always dealt in early cars. The recent frenzy probably gets him some new victims from Europe and others. G |

He has a shop in Petaluma, ca
1482 Petaluma Boulevard North, Petaluma, CA this is current. he has about 15 cars in side shop. The shop is a complete disaster ! messy and dirty. He has about 4 guys working inside the shop. Also has a shop in S.F. where he says he does most of the major restoration work on motors. |
Krieger is alive and well --
Had a customer drop in today to ask if I knew the guy -Krieger wanted to 'borrow' a $100,000 to relocate his 'business to Isleton, Calif. Vaguely recalling the name from the past, I googled ---OK, so-obviously Krieger is not going to get the 100 grand --and, I am sure the real estate agent will be delighted to know what she is dealing with By and by; Krieger mentioned to the agent that he had a $100,000 car that he could put up as collateral? mpm |
How is this guy still free, breathing and walking when he has ripped off so many people?
|
I thought in Cali they shot you on the highway for cutting someone off, this guy can piss off and cheat for years with pages and pages of dialog about him, still enjoying himself.
|
I had a very bad experience with "dporschepartsman" The guy in my opinion is dishonest. besides the high prices he is rude and won't take responsibility for his mistakes.
not recommended. |

Mr.Krieger has a shop on the outskirts of Sonoma, CA. He moved from Petaluma to Sonoma in April of 2014. The Sonoma address is 105 C Freemont St. Phone # 415-793-5527. He usually does not answer the phone but will call back. Freemont St. is actually Hwy 121 after the intersection with Hwy. 116. He is there only in the afternoons.

Mr. Krieger
I want to thank all of you for this thread. I just recently wanted to buy a viper green RSR clone rolling chassis from Mr. Krieger in Sonoma and after reading the abundant threads, I have decided not to proceed with the sale. I thank all of you guys for saving me. Here is the ebay link of the car he is trying to sell.

Imterestingly enough, I purchased a 1973 1/2 911 T from Krieger in 2008 for $30,000. The engine/transaxle had been rebuilt, new paint and interior. The engine was good but the CIS never worked so I swapped in a 3.2 engine and it was dynamite. In January I sold it for $60,000 on "Bring a Trailers" auction. I had to stay on top of Krieger but ultimately I made some money. It cost me $5,000 for the engine and labor so I actually made $25,000. That doesn't mean I like him or turst him.

cherry930, good for you. I wish I had researched more, back in the day.

Please excuse my hitchhiking on this thread, but this may save one of you grief:
There's a guy in So Cal named Jason Ephraim who flips old cars, including Porsches. Beware. He has burned several people I know. He is the KING of lying and misrepresenting cars. The KING!!!!!! His MO is to create a new e-bay log on ID and them lie his ass off about a car hoping someone is trusting. If someone on e-bay is listing a car and he has ZERO history or feedback, that should be a big red flag. |
I was recently contacted regarding some parts I have for sale on cl by an individual identified as Rich Mc krager by his email. He said he was a 911 engine builder. A quick Google search led me to this discussion. The telephone number included in the email (707) 981-1676 links to postings on eBay from ID 'porsche-aircooled-engines'. I have previously had an email dialogue with whom I presume was the same individual which included photos of the same viper green RSR clone referred to earlier in this thread. I had responded to a craigslist posting for a '68 911 which included photos of a '68 chassis 'borrowed' from Magnus Walker's page.
