I continually find it amazing how venomous, caustic and defensive people can be of a belief system that's supposed to be about openness, compassion, understanding and forgiveness. Sri Lanka................I saw a 60 minutes special on it, lots of problems.......terrorism, they have serious problems, sure did not need this event to hit them.

I have to say Adrian calling red UFO and "idiot" and then "your an ignorant idiot" does not show off his best Christian values, perhaps it's the stress he is under, but there is a better way to deal with this situation.

My question stands, do you in anyway/perspective think some of the population (you guys) had it coming?

From what you wrote Adrian, it seems that there is a part of you which thinks so. If I am wrong, (which I hope I am) then please correct my misperception in a graceful manner.

It'd be nice if God would protect us from pain, but he does not. CS Lewis had some remarks along this line that I can agree with. It'd be nice if He just punished the bad guys (and maybe he does, but not here), but He seems to allow pain to befall both good and bad folks. In fact, sometimes it seems he picks on his favorites the most.

In reality, God does not give a flying fuch whether we're comfortable here on Earth, except for the tendency of pain and pleasure to turn our attention toward, or away from, Him. One is very important, the other is (relatively speaking) not.

You don't see the point. Has nothing to do with religon. Has to do with the fact that it's unnecessary and pointless and in the presence of someone directly affected, mean spirited commentary.

Edited for content. -Z-man. You won't find me attributing much to allah, as made up personas aren't able to do much. As for God destroying his people, I don't think God did it Pinkie. I think the lord of the flying saucers is trying to "soften up" earth in precaration for the invasion. See if that tin foil hat helps you now!

We all know where the blame lies................powerful emission of electromagnetic fields and gravational forces created by the engines of UFO's (perhaps red ones) are to blame.

The Bible is filled with astrological events (some deplicted in paintings as disk shaped objects) preceding catastrophe.

My loved ones believe in me, I have great friends and am respected by my peers, and have what I want out of life. I don't think that's really the issue here. Try to write it off all you want, but your commentary isn't really respected, as seen by the earlier responses in this thread
