Post Would we get along in real life?

I know, it's almost too touchy-feely of a topic for someone like me, but I'm sitting here at work, trying to be productive (hah!) and the question struck me. If we all met probably at a P-Car event, would we all get along?

Would we all play a game of dodgeball and take our typical sides, with Z-Man as the Referee? If so, who would win?

When we got into a discussion/argument, would Z-Man jump in and moderate?

If Cool-Chick got hammered and took off her shirt, would Z-Man edit her for content?

I think we would get along great. I have friends who have very different opinions than me. Freindships are based on simularities, not differences. A bunch of car guys will get along. Here in OT land is the one place we express our differences.

I don't know but I'll try to grab a picture before he gets to delete it again and again.

I've met some of the idiots I argue with here regularly, and they're actually pretty nice guys. D-man is large enough that I don't spit right into his face, and Mark is just really a sweet guy (don't get any ideas) and he's back in Texas, so there's no one to fight with face-to-face. Besides, I get enough fighting at work.

(One of my Labor associates occasionally leans across the bargaining table and says "You know, my two favorite things to do are fighting and ****ing....and I don't get enough fighting at home.")

I'd probably even get along alright with Mule. As long as we talked about cars, I'd probably never know who he is. But I suspect that if we had a couple of NW microbrews and started in on politics, it might be a frustrating conversation for him.

I'd leap at the chance to buy lendaddy a beer. He's one of the few dyed-in-the-wool conservatives I respect a great deal. Even if he punched, me, it'd be okay.

lol bryan

I honestly think we'd get along fabulously. I've met people on the opposite side of the political spectrum that I've debated in a forum venue and had a blast. Typed words are flat and one-dimensional, but when spoken with body language, it's received differently. Usually ends up in a big laughing match followed by a big hug.

I wish we weren't so spread out in this country, I would suggest having a OT forum party! LOL Ah hell, we should plan one anyway, perhaps in a warm climate, or all come to Chicago??!!!!!!!!!!

I bet there would be very little if any problems in a face to face. What we write is much bolder than what we talk about in person (safer too). Anyone in Houston TX, Spartonberg SC, Cleveland OH or Chico CA? I will be in all in the next 6 weeks. If you have the courage to show - I will buy the beer!

I hate everyone equally, so we'd get along fine. Or not. I forget.
