The automotive performance climax
I sat down today with the new R & T and read the article of the new Ferrari F430. Just when you thought it was safe to leave your doors unlocked they throw this at you. Not to sixty, just three and a half seconds and it will double that in a little less then 12. If you really think about that those are supercar times rivaling the likes of the Saleen S7, Carrera GT, Pagani Zonda, and Ferraris own Enzo. We are living the in the absolute pinicle of automotive performance, the cars that are on the horizon are like nothing we have experienced yet. Cars like the new BMW M4 that is looking for blood in the defense of its sports car crown. The new Aston Martin AMV8 which preproduction models have been lapping the ring in less time than the MK2 GT3s, with the AC on. On sale right now in Europe the Mitsu Evolution FQ-400 will out drive an AWD supercar worth more than three times its price. The kingdom of the supercar is fading fast relinqueshing its title to the underdog. Going fast has never been any cheaper, and it seems to be pushing on strong. And you were worried the hybrids were gonna take over...
Call me crazy if you like, this is just want I think. ![]()

I'll bet they said the same thing in 1890 when some guy broke 50mph and lived to tell the tale.
