A challenge for you then, Shadowfax.

Go to a person whose advice and counsel on matters spiritual you value. Tell that person that you been involved in discussions with parties who make arguments that deny the very existence of god, and that at some of them (the appropriated ones ofcourse) are compelling and hard to rebutt.

I will wager that the first advice you recieve will be "remove yourself from the influence of the doubters...."

Had I previously trusted such a man, I would immediately cease if such was his advice. If my life is to be like Jesus', then I will clearly spend time with people who don't believe. After all, the doctor comes not for the healthy, but for the sick.

I'm going driving tomorrow -- new seats, no A/C, shiny new Crow 6-point harnesses. Not that I'll really get it out to any limits on public roads, but it'll be fun, eh? You have plans for the weekend Stu? Victor? 350?

The 964 is till in the shop.And the Job fella had patience. He never owned a 911, I'll bet.

The fact that it took a supposedly competent Porsche tuner 3 months to install a set of shock absorbers is proof positive that there cannot possibly be a God, an Allah, a Jehova let alone a Jesus.......

Dan - no big plans for this weekend. Seeing a close relative who is a "big cheese" in the local Born Again industry tomorrow night and looking forward to it. I love him like the brother he is but sure wish we lived on the same planet sometimes.

I would suggest the Golden Greek is the week link in your chain of misery here - I sincerely doubt the Aryans are having issues with making the trains run on time.

It shouldn't take 3 full months to do any single job on these cars, unless you're like me, and you don't discover that you're going to do the "while you're in there" jobs until you're actually in there.

Or unless you go underway halfway through a job; that tends to put a damper on the progress...

Bummer you're selling the '86 -- I'd be curious to know why you're keeping the 964 instead. Personally, the '86 was my dream car, and the 964 I test drove felt "heavy" in comparison to the earlier cars. Maybe I drove a loser?

Lube -- I can't believe you're admitting to having spent time in Chico. Isn't that one of CA's major "armpits?"

How'd the dyno come out? Come on, don't keep us in suspense like this!

It was a two day job- bars, springs, shocks. Bt they got it dismantled and found they didnt have the tophats required on a 91- different to the pre 90. Its been a supply issue, compounded by Christmas.

No matter, in the meantime, I have had a BoxS, 996 cab, C32 AMG, another 964, 944 cab- its been a lot of fun. Driven more Pcars than ever. Intersting- of all of the cars, the only one I would own was the 964. Least favorite was the 996 cab. What a boat. It have the C32 AMG any day over that thing.

Why sell the 86? It truly is a more visceral drive, but its time for a newie, and this is a particlaulry clean 964 which I know (owned by a friend) and have chased in the 86. Have never been able to get near it. Its a superior car in every way, but-its not as much fun as the 86.

The 964 was afflicted with the annoying US spec (bumper bar height requirments) ride height. It porpoised front to rear to the extent that it could smoke the front tyres. Should be fixed now, tho...

Had to pospone - a good friend tapped me to help him move and store stuff in my attic (my herniated disc wasn't psyched!) The window of opportunity closed - prehaps next weekend.

I was in Chico and parts south working with a bunch of prune processing facilities and other food processing plants to increase their equipment reliability. Chico's tough but Oresville is worse. Not a big fan of Cal - most for the folks seem real flacky and self absorbed. I never feel comfirtable being in a room with someone who thinks more of themselves than I do!
