There are probably a lot here that aren't openly religious bible thumpers, don't go to church, however they may be considered "spiritual" with their own belief systems. More like indians that appreciate the stars, moon, and nature. Believing in some kind of something and don't want a lightening bolt crashing through their window and zapping them! Just a guess...
