Right you are, Z-Man. And there are some other learnings I think they should be taking. I'm hopeful but also disappointed and not particularly optimistic about that "party."

928RAM, yes. Everyone but me. Right.

Clowd, K911sc, others....I'm not just standing. I got the gloves on, I'm warmed up and ready to go toe-to-toe. Just getting warmed up. Now, if I could just find a sparring partner that can keep up.......

Sure. They don't nominate people for Oscars for their acting talent, you know. :)

If the dems are to have any chance of taking back the oval office in '08, someone better get busy finding a dynamic personality that can go toe for toe on the family values stuff (which I believe clearly won the election for W) and at the same time have some idea about how to preach keeping the USA safe and sound (other than relying the UN or some other foreign body). After all 3% is not an overwhelming majority but it was enough to win. Getting back that 3% is going to take a lot more
than Dems would care to admit (given the current state of the leadership in the Dem party).

"I'm just sayin"

Yeah, if you eliminate all the liberal thinkers in the world, then it will almost seem like Dubya is a good president.
I resent that:). It implies that only liberals think Bush is a bad pres. Count me as a conservative (not neocon please) that is not onboard with the Bush plan.

I frequently come away from reading their input thinking that they must see me as Jethro Bodine complete with an arsenal of assault rifles and confederate flags in the back of my raised four wheel drive truck with a Bible in the glovebox.
stereotyping the stereotypers ..........hmmmmm seems like it's catching

I've said this before, the biggest spenders in congress today are Stevens, Murkowksi, and Young. What ever happened to the REAL conservatives?

Hey, the solution is real simple: the dems must not sit still for the next 4 years. Instead, they need to:
1. keep President Bush accountable for his actions.

2. get involved with the legislative process

3. find a candidate for the presidency that will be more effective than Kerry was.

-Z-man .

4. start now and spend the next 4 years infiltrating churches in the red states, like in the last election, and make it "worthwhile" for the ministers to sell the "open minded" parishoners on the fact that they made a mistake last time. money talks. and while money is talking, there are plenty of newspaper columnists out there, who perhaps could be persuaded to help out, if it was "worthwhile" for them. and they called nixon tricky.
