Don't let her go. They are few and far between. And she probably thinks the same of you. good luck.

married 28 years and still in love with my bride.

}{arlequin 02-24-2005 07:46 AM

You're in Cambridge... there are two fun places I can think of right away... "Dali's" for tapas and "Cuchi Cuchi" for some real fun. http://www.cuchicuchi.cc/photos.html The bonus is that the waitresses dress like turn of the century harlots... cleavage up to their chins etc etc. Combine that w/ fun-n-fruity martini list, and that ought to loosen her up.

edit: damn, late post...

}{arlequin 02-24-2005 07:56 AM

Dave and Buster's might not be a good idea... unless you stick to the bar... what are you planning on doing- playing arcades? She'll think she's in high school.

Definitely not pool. Unless they are into it. Whenever I see a couple in a pool hall, the guy is trying to hide his laughter and frustration and the girl her boredom and embarassment. Nothing makes her feel more inadequate than missing the entire cue ball, and if you want to get into that let-me-get-close-behind-you-to-show-you-how-to-hold-it stance... there are better ways- like helping her uncork a bottle...

project935 02-24-2005 10:16 AM

Walking and talking in a small but nice art museum - dinner before or afterwards.

If she gets to in-depth and artsy-fartsy ... pass
If she snickers and makes funny 'adult' jokes at the nudes ... she's a keeper!

You now know how my first-date with my wife went (met her online too).

Next date we're going out to the East Coast Grill here in Cambridge: http://www.eastcoastgrill.net/

We see mussels steamed in thai coconut milk
Oysters
BBQ in our immediate future.

YUMMM!!!!! Love mussels......love BBQ (had some this past weekend...ribs, brisket, sausage combo plate. You're making me hungry now!)

I disagree. IMO it shows if the girl knows how to have fun... Adventurous side.... And remember, I'm a girl. Why wouldn't we want to do fun, active things too? And high school? I guess it may have briefly crossed my mind maybe at first, don't quite remember it being a real strong thought (been there a few times) but hell, that aspect, would bring back some great memories of fun, fun fun....closeness...innocent laughs. And pool is a blast. Lots of us play pool.

Ask her! See how she feels.

Bring your stick and your money to Oregon...I'll find a woman to play you...;) Once a woman decides she likes the game, she can become pretty ruthless...Cindy & I just bang balls around, strictly recreational players, but I've seen women players who are pretty darned amazing...

elwood-914 02-24-2005 05:55 PM

All kidding aside, good luck with her, she's a beauty.:)

M.D. Holloway 02-24-2005 06:51 PM

Shaun,
Sounds like it was fun - good for you. Working on getting up north in March. I haven't forgotten about my debt, looking forward to it.

Is kinda funny that a bunch of people spread accrss the country if not the globe were hanging on the edge waiting for a date update. Thats gotta make a guy feel good about his chances.

That would be me!!!!!! SmileWavy

Used to play in a pool league. Love pool.

M.D. Holloway 02-24-2005 07:44 PM

Used to be a great pool hall in Woburn (just outside of Boston) think it was called Mothers. Bikers from the Barons MC would hang out there. The rep of bikers is all wrong - I would rather me and my date be in a room full of 1%ers than a frat party. Guys in clubs have a certain honor code, treat therm like men, show respect all is cool, be a jackarse and you will get stomped. Frat boys are just stupid kids that don't know how to drink/drug.

Like an up-date on if she's slinky or not?

"chances".. like the chance of a return on investment/ROI. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/face80.gif

Knowing our beantown liberal like I do, he took the high road, the high hard road that is.

He didn't even try to be ungentlmenly are anything. He showed me respect Momma and thats what you and Pa thought me, the man has to show you respect! But Momma, I'm not so sure he a Christian boy and I know he isn't Baptist. Momma? Momma you still there? Momma????

great selection out there in no-city land imo. I ran into a few of them hanging out at a NW hot springs once. After a while and talking starts I find out one of them worked at a lumber mill. She said she would taylor her evening date scent by cutting a specific wood, don't remember. All I remember is that some guy was going to bang a blue eyed blond nature woman that smelled like rosewood, go figure.

Oh I don't doubt it. Someday I'll take you up on the offer. Every week I see women make some great shots. Don't know why but it always seems like they are stronger on those difficult angle long distance shots.

the visuals are really getting funny

pwd72s 02-25-2005 09:02 AM

Dave, Here's an Indianapolis lady who'd probably be willing to play you if the price was right, and you promised to go easy on her...;)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109354515.jpg

M.D. Holloway 02-25-2005 09:04 AM

If it is the same one I'm thinkin, I saw her on ESPN - that chick can hustle.

pwd72s 02-25-2005 09:06 AM

Yup, "The black widow"...nickname gained from her ability to humiliate guys at pool...

bryanthompson 02-25-2005 09:09 AM

Is she the one that always wears black leather pants? She could humiliate me any day. ;)

M.D. Holloway 02-25-2005 09:11 AM

That chick is ice - she could snap that stick off inside you and not blink twice! I think I'm in love...

LOL! Yep, her skill and that she always dresses in black gave her the nickname.

}{arlequin 02-25-2005 09:33 AM

While it is more *fun* to watch women play, I miss the times when they televised men's 9-ball tournaments as much as they do women's. I "like to watch" as much as the next voyeur, but it's just a different game when women play.

Once a year Ewa Mataya does charity rounds for her sponsoring pool hall chain (Boston Billiards) and for $5 you get to play her a rack of 9 and you get a signed cue or 9-ball. From over 50 odd racks that I've seen on 3 separate visits, she beat the strongest players each and every time and probably lost 3 or 4 times to the unlikely opponenets. Even though retired, she's a very good shooter. Guess she didn't retire b/c of losing her touch...

pwd72s 02-25-2005 09:59 AM

Dave, I have to agree...in the top pro ranks, the men are better...I had the pleasure of watching "Rocket" Rodney Morris play in a tournament here...absolutely crazy english skills...

Well, if conservative women are the trick for Shaun, then this is the site for him.

http://www.hannity.com/gallery/Hannidate2005?page=1

It's a real site, can't make this stuff up.

asphaltgambler 02-25-2005 11:20 AM

What's incredible is that they all look exacty what my mind's eye sees when I think of conservatives.

BTW, she's not really a conservative, way too pretty. Her dad is an arch, her mother is liberal, she's much more center; voted for Bush 'cause Kerry was such a wimp.

I found out about it from here:

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Wow that is funny. You've got to read a few.

I guess conservatives aren't so big on spelling or grammar.

Sounds grounded to me ... I like her already!

M.D. Holloway 02-25-2005 09:20 PM

If she is a native peach you got a good one. OK, so lets ask the three tyopical Northeast questions: So, what does she do? Where did she go to school? What town did she grow up in?

Volumes can be understood by that information...

You've played "The striking Viking"? I've seen her in person, announcing a WPBA tounament held near here. Talk about gorgeous...she ought to be in movies instead of pool...

}{arlequin 02-28-2005 06:59 AM

honestly, she looks much better in person and her figure doesn't give up anything to anyone younger, including Jeanette
