Hey Hey Victor,
Tommy Lee is,IMO, one of the best around. Nevermind the non-music crap he found. His live performances were(are) awesome.

I was not for one second suggesting that 80's metal and playing upside down where uncool. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/drummer.gif

Couldn't agree more - Some drummers like Terry, Billy Cobham, Neil Pert and several others go for the monster sets (IMO) for two reasons - 1) the crowd loves them so it is good marketing and 2) these guys seem to be pressing the limits of drumming in that they want to get molodic and not just be in the background. You will hear these guys get syncupated (sp) and experiment with polyrythms. Mucho drums and cymbels and all sorts of other percussion items can help to hit that end.

I like the kid who bangs on the 5gl plastic pail for pocket change. What movie was that in - I remeber it was at the beginning of a movie. Kid was about 11, in NYC subways or Central Park?

Years ago there used to be a homeless looking busker in the city (Melbourne). He had plastic buckets and some trash can lids etc and sounded bloody unreal. From time to time he used to team up with this long-haired madman in a wheelchair who played bagpipes and wore a kilt. Very “long way to the top if you wanna rock ‘n roll”.

To properly amplify that kit you need an amp that goes to eleven....

A bit over the top, but yes, DW (Drum Workshop) is the Porsche of drum kits!
