If Porsche was to Build a Drum Kit

Not for the faint of heart - only to be operated by highly skilled drummers;

(this is actually a Terry B kit!)

bah...John Bonham just needed a 4 piece kit with big kick drum and a couple of cymbals... mic'ed by one kick mic and an overhead pair in the hallway of a dilapidated British farmhouse estate.

I have a video clip of Terry Bozzio playing a set that looks just like that one. See the Slingerland "Buddy Rich kit" in the back of the photo? I've always wanted to add a gong to my set as it's the only thing missing (besides talent)...

The kit pictured was built for Terry - I'm sure he had several lackys and a bus to hawl it around. When I saw him, he was setting up a mini monster by him self. I thought that was pretty cool for a guy like him to do.
Buddy Rich's kit was cool, that was like mine - I think Hal Blaine was as good if not better that Buddy. Buddy had a great markteer, Hal was too busy with the "brass".

Hey Mike,
I just noticed the line you added to your signature.
Very cool, man.
I like throwing lines from movies or songs at people just to see if they get it. Most don't.

I went through the thousand piece drumkit phase. I went back to a basic five piece and found my playing improved.

Reckon this one can play upside down like the one used in the 80's by hairspray and spandex bands like Bon Jovie and Motley Crue?

My '79 Slingerland 12pc set is birch wood shell finished with a cherry stain on it. It's incredibly loud and I play the Roland electronic set most of time to avoid "neighbor problems"...

Hey Hey Victor,
Tommy Lee is,IMO, one of the best around. Nevermind the non-music crap he found. His live performances were(are) awesome.
