Any hams here? Have a Kenwood TH22 I don't need.

I found my old handy-talkie, a Kenwood TH22. Should probably sell it, since my ham radio days are long past. Don't want to put it on eBay, since I'm in the process of getting ripped off for the last thing I sold - received PayPal payment, sent the item, then got an email from PayPal saying the payment was unauthorized and they are reversing the credit to my account. So, where might I be able to sell this and how much might I get?

I still want to become a ham... N0VUB won't quit bugging me to go take my test, and I want to be able to chat with KC0DXB sometime.

Porsche Crest Kenwoos

Hey,

Try www.qth.com. They have a classified section, I have bought and sold a few things there with no problem. Not sure what it is worth, my guess would be about $80 or so. Good Luck. 73s

Bryan, you should do it. I liked being a ham (KE6GPF) and wish I still had the time. But there's not much I have time for anymore - struggling to hold on to Porsches and photography, ham radio doesn't make the cut.

Thanks KG4DBM for the website.

K6MWJ here...

If it's in good working condition, I may be interested. How old is the unit, and will the battery hold a charge?

Used to be DJ0PV while overseas, but have not worked it for a long time. Really miss the time I spent listening to the world on a radio as a kid.

911STarga, let me know when you are looking at selling some of your stuff. We get to Vegas all the time...

Seems to work fine. I charged it and have been working N6NFI repeater down by Palo Alto for 4 hours now. Had a few short conversations after I figured out how to set the PL tone, so it is transmitting okay. That's about 35 miles from me, with a 5 watt HT and rubber duck that isn't bad. Cosmetically it is only "good" - everything present ncluding belt clip and lanyard, some scratches and nicks on the plastic display and the faceplate around the display.

Wow, my first QSL in 8 years! KE6GPF.

P.S. Think I bought it new around 1995, could have been +/- 1 year.

I'm ready anytime. Maybe I should get a list together of what I have. He was a hard core ham op for over 35 years. So I have tons of stuff. Home made repeater, Yaesu (sp) radio`s, receivers. A tall tower thats still attached to the house with at least 5 attennas still attached, other attennas that are laying around.Motors, controls, cables, and other things I have no idea what they are.
