.40 is a pretty snappy cartridge. Its a quality that goes hand in hand with a 180gr bullet moving well over 1000fps out of a 5" barrel. I tried to re-watch the video frame by frame. Its kind of choppy, but it looks like he is holding that gun with one hand when he ADs and that there is no muzzle flash or muzzle jump when it goes off. I smell either bull**** or demonstration that has been taken out of context and circulated around te internet as fact. Not that that would ever happen . Has this one been busted on snopes?

An agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency was been suspended after video surfaced showing the man shooting himself during a gun safety class in front of a group of Orlando fourth-graders.

An investigation has been launched to determine who leaked the home video of the undercover DEA agent shooting himself at an event sponsored by the Orlando Minority Youth Golf Association.

Experts in the field said that the undercover agent should never have been videotaped because it could put the agent's life at risk.

"It puts a lot of undercover agents in jeopardy if their faces are videotaped," a masked agent told Local 6 News. "His identity is burned. His identity is known as a police officer and its a potential personal safety hazard to himself as well as his family members."

Um, if his identity is so f'ing important, then why is he doing PR dog-and-pony shows? I suspect the real reason they're miffed is the public has another "Funniest Cop Videos" to pass around.

I remember this being mentioned on the news down here when it happened but I never saw the video till now.

The gross incompetence and strange behavior leads me to believe that this DEA agent likes to take personal samples from the confenscation locker.
