I always say, "It's better to be pissed off, than pissed on!"
Randy |
And more variations:
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill today because they got on my nerves. God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones that I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference. |
Angry people are such a drag...
The last thing anybody wants to be around is a defensive, complaining, argumentative, old-timer. Fun to watch from afar or on TV, but thats about the closest I'll get. |

Well folks, it's later...and I must say I feel MUCH better now. Cindy & I spent some hours around a 9' Brunswick Gold Crown, just banging balls around. Twice, she whispered her most romantic words to me...smiling sweetly, she placed her lips near my ear, and said: "rackum". Ahhh jeeze, I just love it when she says that. ;)

My wife says there are two kinds of people, those that give ulcers and those that get them. Sounds like you might be the kind that gets them. Me, too. I stay busy enough to forget about it most of the time. |
Re: I've HAD IT!
Fruedian slip?
.............My thought? Because it's for damned sure that I don't look good naked anymore...:) [/B][/QUOTE] Ahhhh yes Grasshopper! The answer could perhaps lie somewhere between riding a bicycle/running and weight training.:) :) :) |
You have it too easy - you need some strife, some hurt, some stress! Your system ain't built for the kind of pleasure and loothing you are having.
Really! Your P-car can't perform and be happy unless you are pushing her limits! Your the same way. Your getting soft and you really don't like it. |
Whenever I find myself getting to the "I've had it!" place, I think back to when I was in Desert Storm and promised myself that if I survived, I would appreciate my life a little more. I've had to go to several funerals recently where the deceased didn't get to my age (43) and that always makes me appreciate my life a little more, too. I look at my beautiful wife and kids and am thankful for them and that snaps me out of it and takes me to my "happy place"! Going to the garage and seeing the Porsche there is nice but pales in comparison to the blessings in my life!

Hey, really...I'm not all that depressed...I just thought it might make for a funny thread. A friend of Cindy's sent us a funny about not looking good naked anymore...so, I twisted it a bit.
Here's a link if you could use a chuckle...turn up your sound http://www.goodolddogs2.com/older.html |
Ok, now your just in denial. Face it. Your miserable. Like I said, too much loathing and softness. Your best bet is to sell it all and buy a Christmas Tree farm in upstate NY.

Somehow, I knew I'd kill this thread by my previous post. Nobody wants to admit that if they keep breathing long enough "it" will happen to them. |

"it" will happen to them...
I'm counting on that happening, actually....;)
But seriously  now, I know what you're talking about. Sometimes something's wrong, and you just can't put your finger on it. Could be as simple as chemical imbalance, or more likely, your hemorrhoids are flaring up. Brown blotter at both ends is the Rx from this long-distance diagnosis. Ed |
