When we're behind the 8-ball, we just don't buy luxuries, true. But that's when we really need to invest. That is, we're not talking about a new Rolls Royce here or a crystal chandelier. These infrastructure assets make us money. They help get us back on top. I like being on top.

As far as the bigger point is concerned, I don't follow you. Jeff's post restates, as I said, the original point of this thread. Your guys in DC are digging a hole and it will be justice if the dems clobber their agenda at their next opportunity. Unfortunately, this weakens our nation and so they probably won't. They'll probably return your gubmint to a cooperative consensus-oriented process. Whine and pretend all you want, but that's what the wimpy dems do, compared to the arrogant aggressive reps.

Or maybe your reposed Jeff's remarks just because of an overall hatred for liberal, compassionate ideas.
