Okay, not to hijack, but given what I know about animation, "Speed Racer" is known in the industry as the most difficult cartoon to dub American voices with. Seems as if the Japanese writers wrote the English dialogue/translation, but were horrible brevity editors. This is why each character's dialogue line was so long. Supposedly, if you wanted to work on "SR," you needed lungs like a marathoner.

And if you wanted to work on Trixie, you needed some of Pops power tools...

I am not surprised it was difficult to dub.
