What's your shopping downfall?

Is their something that you buy or something that you contribute towards besides your Porsche or BMW that you must have when it is released whether it be movies, music, other collectables or something else?

Here are mine:

Certain TV Shows/Cartoons finally released on DVD such as

Batman Animated Series
Superman Animated Series
Smallville
A-Team
Knight Rider

I had the Star Wars set on Laserdisc before it came out on DVD. I also have a couple versions of the Looney Tunes Golden years and the old animated Star Trek series. I need to get around to converting them all to DVD sometime.

I wish I could find a reasonably priced good DVD version of "The Song of the South". I'd still like to have the old 1999 series and the Young Ones series.

Some of my weaknesses in the past (besides Porsche upgrades and racing) were videos, home theater equipment, audio equipment, guns, musical instruments......Lots of fun stuff out there to try and not enough time or budget to do it all. My main weakness that gets occasional feeding is now probably cars. I just bought a $300 Miata that needed an engine among other things. It's running, but still needs brakes.

AsI found it:

And after a quick trip to the car wash:

I know it's messed up, but I like home improvement items (outside/inside/paint, etc.) and house improvements (decorating, new towels, furniture, etc.)

I'm one that doesn't care to shop for clothing (gasp, and she's a girl!).

not so much shopping, but I am a huge sucker for trade show junk. The cheap trash and trinkets that companies give out, are basically worthless but make for great treats for the kids. I now have to use an extra big suitcase when I go to a trade show just so I can fit all the crap - have to get two of everything.

Its a sickness...

Hey there Vash,
Pelikan is one of the best fountain pen companies out there, I own two of their pens. I'm not expert enough to ID a pen just by photo, although I know some folks who probably could.
Any idea what approximate decade the pen is from? How do you get ink into the pen? Does it have a sort of lever on the side, a cartridge, or...? Do you use it, or is it just something you keep for sentimental reasons?

grant, i dont know crap about the pen as far as dates, and stuff. he gave it to me, maybe 15 years ago. and he said he had it awhile. but i fill the pen by turning the endcap. and i guess is sucks in the refill load. i like it, and i do use it. sometimes. the last time was signing my house purchase paperwork.

I'm an electronics freak. I can't stop. I now have HDTVs in 4 rooms and I never go in 2 of the 4 rooms. But if I ever did I could watch hi def.

[neo]Guns. Lots of guns.[/neo]

I have a small collection... up to 18 now with the Australian Lee Enfield No1MkIII I just received last week. I mainly dig WWII rifles, but have a pretty wide variety.

And I'm actually trying to restrain myself this year. I need to pay off some debt before I buy too much.

... and I've already found something else to collect now... Bayonets!

I can understand that. If I kept up with playing guitar, I'd love some old amps.

Guitarists can be very picky when it comes to sound... it's rumored some guitarists can tell the difference between battery types in their effects units!

I loved my Laney LH50. My Les Paul sounded so damn good through it, I had to clean my pants out frequently!
