Are all kids bad for forums?

I'll agree that some kids do ruin forums. Perhaps you think the same about me right now. But for the record, I'm not arguing unprovoked, just gently reminding some about the utter foolishness of stereotypes.

Kids aren't bad for forums. Idiocy in itself doesn't equate to any given age bracket, so you're right about stereotypes, yellowline. However, you don't often find the "older kids" are obsessed with big wheels and body kits and stereos.

OTOH, the people who care enough about their cars to spend money on anything having to do with them (including bling wheels) often just haven't yet seen the light. Get 'em out to an autocross and they'll wonder why they spent so much money on cosmetic mods.

Agreed. When I was a kid (before Al invented the internet) I was really into cars. Well that obsession cooled due to a lack of money and the notion that there was no place to drive these supercars. I wound up in other things. Only when I began seaching for my 911 (for sunny day driving) did I find that you could take it out and use it as intended without breaking the law.

I'm a kid on this online forum, so does that mean that I crap up the place?

I agree that a lot of other forums have punks and some kids who do crap up the place. For example, I joined a teen automotive forum a few months ago, and I was amazed at how many other kids were so uncivilized and rebellious against each other. Coming from Pelican, I'm used to everyone being polite to each other, so I ignored all of their hostile comments to me... because I owned a Porsche. I did meet a guy who owns a 928 there, and he seemed to be one of the only people who were cool headed there (probably since he is a member of Rennlist as well).

My opologies to any of you I offended. Theres always an exception to every rule. You guys are obviously exceptions.

My opinion stands though. When an idiot is flaming away its almost always a 14 year old takling about his daddies car.
