Only good song they have is Miss America in my opinion...

Although the cover they do of I Dont Need No Doctor is pretty cool.

Tommy Shaw was far too good of a guitarist to be in Styx, IMHO

word on Miss America.

Styx, Foreigner, REO, Kansas, Boston....ah, those were the days.

not

still, those are all somewhat guilty pleasures.

My wife is a Styx junkie.

They have a pretty massive on-line presence.

The guys really try to give back to the fans and are very approachable.

They show up regularly for chats on AOL and such.

www.styxworld.com

Hit the Styx Lounge link to get to the forums.

And the new album is pretty good.

I'll admit it. I liked one of their songs. It wasnt Miss America.

I guess you could say at one time I was a Styx fan. Paradise Theater was the second LP I ever purchased right behind Queen's "The Game." Side 2 had some cool laser etching on the playing surface.

He managed to hold his own in Damn Yankees also. Not easy when your playing next to Ted Nugent every night.

Have seen a number of private Rik Emmet shows. He was approached by Damn Yankees but turned it down because Ted scared him.

If you ever get a chance to see a Rik Emmet private meet and greet by all means do anything you can to see it. I was never really a Triumph fan but solo Rik in a casual intimate setting is awesome. He's a really humble down to earth guy and is as funny as they come.

I saw Rik in a smalltown hall a couple years ago. Only about 100 people. I agree he was fabulous.
