This morning on aljezeera's web site they have an article entitled Muslim scholars ban killings in name of Islam . But if you read the article it says "We condemn the principle of accusations of apostasy and the legalization of the assassination of Muslims for religious reasons," and "Divisions within the global Islamic community, acts of violence and terrorism and accusations of apostasy and the killing of Muslims in the name of Islam violate the spirit of Islam." So one does not need to be William F. Buckley to understand that their statements pertain ONLY to killing other muslims, not infidels like me. Now this is not a comunique from al queda but from exhalted religious scholars of the religion of peace.

So here's what we do. Issue a statement today saying: From this day forward, we will tolerate no more murder in the name of allah. Should islamic terrorists kill one American or American ally, we will destroy Mecca utterly, including the kabba stone and the mosque where it is located and all other holy sites. Should another such attack occur, we will destroy Medina and all holy sites therein. Should another attack occur we will demolish the dome of the rock in Jeruselem. From that point should it be necessary, we will return to sand any and all sites representative of islam. If any reader of this has an interest in the continued existence of these sites do now what you have failed to do in the past, police yourselves and stop this terrorism now. The game ends now.

To say that's extreme would be an understatement... I'm not the most hardcore of Catholics, but if someone blew up the Vatican, I'd be ready to fight.

Not where I live. They don't have the bombs to do it. Remember, wars stop when it becomes too painful for one side to continue. We should be the deliverers, not the recievers of the pain.

Bryan, how upset did you get when the muslims took over the birthplace of Jesus in Bethlehem and were shooting, killin. bleeding & dying there?

But yeah, I think that would be the quickest way to just end the world. Even if they don't have the nukes to take us out, their friends do, and they have enough people to make the Iraqi insurgency look like afternoon recess.

I think what we're doing is the way to win. Democratic countries don't grow terrorists... they can keep their religion and hopefully get past the whole 'infidels' thing. Look at how many goofy things are in the Bible, things that are totally strange and backwards for our society...

Japan did, but they didn't have friends with Nukes. Can all of the muslim countries that have nukes be trusted not to push the red button if we destroy the icons of their religion, plus a crapload of their population?

Just a historic note: Japan was a FAR different civilization than the middle east. In addition, their infrastructure was totally destroyed prior to capitulation. Please... study history before you jump to conclusions. This is a far different conflict; more shadowy and less defined by borders. The struggle is not over territory as much as it is over ideology. The solution may be to, as I stated earlier, to learn from the methods the insurgents use and apply those methods ourselves. ANd, for all I know, we are learning that this is the only way to resolve the conflict, and it will take a long time. You asked for a better plan. Do you ever actually ever READ what others post before you respond?

Correct money, Japan was a FAR different civilization, much more devoted and fierce than what we now face. Unlike our current enemy, they had infrastructure which needed to be destroyed. We face no such problem today. I have studied and neither borders nor shadows hold the keys to this. Unfortunately, pain is the key. If they inflict enough pain and we submit, we will be listening to the call to prayer 5 times a day. If we inflict enough pain to cause them to submit, the world is safer for all (exept the terrorists). This can take a long time or a short time. The key is to obtain submission (which is what islam means).

Mule..your selective rendition of history in interesting.

Whewre are the borders that we can identify and attack? I have stated over and over that this is not a war like others in history. It is a war without borders and must be fought this way. Large armies create large targets. LEarn from the insurgents (or any other name you may like to apply)

Still think you should join up. Then, you could someday join the cadre of proud veterans who did more than talk.
