If you can avoid phyiscal contact it is ALLWAYS better. But if they have touched (asulted) your child, you should phyiscaly restrain them and make certian that you are placing them under citizens arrest util the police arrive. My two cents is if they keep moving (resisting) keep using the force necessary to restrain them. I know both of the Physical sitiuations stated above would have been treated differntly by Law Enforcment and DA here in AZ. In the CA its a pot luck.

I guess I must have some anger management issue s as well and tend to be over protective of the kids but if I didn't pop the turd, I wouldn't be able to deal with my personal regrets. Then again, if not careful, I would regret jail time and a record as well.

So the key is no physical evidence or witnesses - I can deal with that.

I highly recomend doing a search on registerd sex offenders in your area. It is sobering and appears to conflict perrybonkers nambla satistics. Here in AZ we get a picture and an description of what they were convicted for. Not what the have been accused of.
