I just don't get the cowbell thing; the sketch wasn't that funny.

Thom,
I'm a drummer, so the "cowbell thing" really makes me laugh, kind of like Spinal Tap, it's close to being true but is funny because it's ridiculous. Satire has always appealed to me...

I know... 'what does that mean?' is the next line, after the one Kurt said. I was HOPING you would have said, 'never question Bruce Dickens!' But you broke the flow.

Guys,

Unrelated to this, but similar is my question, where does the phrase "Here there be monsters" come from? I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean with the kids the other day and ths phrase was used and I seem to remember it from somewhere... Anyone know?

I think it's from the earliest English maps of India. On some remote parts of the maps would be written, "Here there be tygers."

Moses,

Thanks! That clears it up! I thought it was a reference to another movie or book (like Moby Dick). Monty Python and MST3K are famous for referencing arcane sources in their humor and I thought this was Disney's attempt...
