fuchs on eBay

Auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fse arch.dll%3Fsofocus%3Dbs%26sbrftog%3D1%26from%3DR10 %26satitle%3D7996702070%26sacat%3D-1%2526catref%253DC6%26bs%3DSearch%26sargn%3D-1%2526saslc%253D2%26sadis%3D200%26fpos%3DZIP%252FP ostal%26ftrt%3D1%26ftrv%3D1%26saprclo%3D%26saprchi %3D%26fsop%3D1%2526fsoo%253D1%26coaction%3Dcompare %26copagenum%3D1%26coentrypage%3Dsearch%26fgtp%3D% 26fvi%3D1&item=7996702070

Take a look at the auction... Don't the fronts look like 16's and the rears like 15's? Maybe it's just an optical illusion?

I sent the seller asking if they were, in fact, 15's and 16's and this is what I got back:

"CArl,
you're kidding right? If it wasn't such a ludicrous statement,
I'd think you were serious. Why would anyone with a vintage
Porsche put different diameter wheels on the car? AND, all
the numbers say 15. Maybe get your monitor checked for
distortion? Sorry if I sound rude, but I think it is funny when
someone doesn't beleive me.

good luck to you"

Maybe I have thin skin but was I way off to ask him?

On the pic of the fuchs on the car the rear of the car does look higher.

You can almost never rely on a picture on the Internet, between loading from the camera to their computer, from their computer to the website, from the website to your browser.

Pretty rude of them to give you that much tude over a simple question IMHO.

People just have no manners anymore!

The wheels on top are painted differently at the rim.

They look to be refinished differently (the masking of the black paint is different).

I think this makes them look different.

I think the wheels on the bottom are definitely deeper and that's why they look different. Maybe they are wider?

They don't look like 16s. They look like ordinary everyday fake Fuchs.

He said in the auction that they were fakes. Isn't everyone proud of me for posting this here instead of the technical forum?
