High ranking FEMA official commits suicide, military taking over?

My dad was supposed to head to NOLA tomorrow as part of a search/rescue/recovery team (he's a firefighter). Just got a call that some high ranking FEMA guy offed himself and that the military is taking over operations.

Weird stuff. Maybe its all BS.... but either way... what a clusterfuch.

yup... thus my comment that it might be B.S. his 'orders' were to have the group 'stand down' and wait for further direction.... then the comment about the suicide and the restructuring. his 'team' has gotten mixed instructions for days now, thats the really stupid thing. they have had a crew all loaded up and ready to go since late last week....
