With the 9/11 anniversary just passing, and the AQ whack-jobs rumbling, I can't help but think that the BLUE CITIES are at high risk of being targeted. (ironic, I know)

Now I know that you RED STATErs don't much care for the pansy-ass whiners in the BLUE CITIES . . . The ones naively being "Offended" that war in Iraq was attracting terorrists to our prepared troops there. . . The ones who naively support the rhetoric slung by guys like Micheal Moore.

Sure, I know it must be tempting to just say "good riddance;" But please keep in mind that many of those cities contained a good percentage of men and women like yourselves.

SO, if you wouldn't mind, please do US a favor . ..

When we all get hit, please embrace Armageddon.

Please send two guided bombs to each and every rural Mosque. Please send two nukes to each and every major Muslim city. .. . and use the old stuff on "Mecca" make it glow for centuries.

Oh, and please Nuke any country that may have supported/supplied these guys.

Interesting guess. Current external limitations keep us at 1 submarine per ocean in a Domino's Pizza status (you know, "delivered fresh in 30 minutes or it's free"). That's 24 possible missiles, each ocean, each missile carrying a published maximum of 8 warheads, for a total of only 348 individual delivery sites.

Hey, if you are OK with the guy who killed 3000 Americans holed up somewhere sending out video press releases every quarter, that's fine. Just get the fück out of my Country where things like capturing and killing the man who masterminded the 9/11 plot is a priority. ******* pussies.

Shaun, Clearly disposing of OBL is a priority. But since he HAD is glory, and is now Hiding somewhere with his goats, he is not as HIGH a priority. The HIGH priority has to go to those willing to step up and deliver WMD to our shores.

I seriously cannot see how AQ wouldn't be thinking they could pull off a multi-city hit. Emboldened from 9/11, seeing the HYPE of such a slow response to Katrina, and the tiny threat of retaliation. (we are even too PC to take-out a mosque full of AQ-holes)

9/11 taught US that these AQ-holes, are very good at hiding in the shadows. . .Attending flight-schools, fitting-in, seeming oh, so "cool" . . non-threatening. . . while they focus on one thing - killing as many of us as possible.

Can you please give me information on troop levels in Afghanistan that bear out your assertion that we've been focusing on him signficantly less than we were in, say, late '01/early '02? Remember, this question is asking you to look past pretty much anything you hear the administration saying or what you hear on CNN or even Fox. Numbers. Need numbers here. Satisfy the accountant in me.

Dave, to satisfy the accountant in you, raw numbers are only one part of the equation. What you do with those numbers, that's the meat and potatoes (thanks Dan!) of the math. the fact that everyone is overlooking, or hoping to obscure, is that results speak for themselves.

So when we don't have the guy that killed 3000 American in custody, or his head on a pike on the White House, after 4 years of saying that we are searching for him, THAT RESULT tells all of us his capture and "bring'em to justice" is not a priority for this admin.

you can spin it anyway you like, but the defacto conclusion of the above must be we don't want to get him. If you don't come to that conclusion, you must then say the Military is incompentent, or the admin is incompetent.

Competency around a priority yields results.

I can buy off on your response Shaun, with a caveat - unless you and/or I have been to the mountains in Afghanistan and really judged the competence of the forces there - we're both just armchair quarterbacking.

I would also posit that any Marine worth his salt would take you to task if you called him incompetent.

All things being equal, yes, I would rather OBL's head was on display in a pickle jar at the Smithsonian. But just the fact by itself that it is not, does not say to me that our military is incompetent.

My point exactly. Our Military is super-competent. Logic dictates that you then have to look at other reasons why OBL has not been captured.

My greatest disappointment with the Country is that people are so willing to settle, on nearly every issue. Everyone who shouted and cried and believed bush when he stood on the rubble and promised us that OBL would be caught and brought to justice, where are those people now?

I'll agree that not everything is an absolute in life, but man, when someone kills 3000 Americans, and we know exactly who did it, and that guy sends out regular video news releases, in my book, that's an absolute. Period.
