Where's Ted Rall...
On that list of 100 people ruining America?
(Or conversely, the top 100 people building Amerika?) http://news.yahoo.com/s/ucru/20050914/cm_ucru/charitiesareforsuckers Ted Rall uses hurricane Katrina to take the volume on his whining to "11". Nothing new here, just a new justification for federalizing everything.

That man is one dumb prick!
"The U.S. government can easily pick up the tab for people inconvenienced by bad weather..." Uh, does he not realize that the only money the gov has is what they took from the people. Oh yeah, I was inconvenienced by weather too...and I am white too. Where is my check?

He also cites that the Red Cross has 9% overhead. Do we even know (or are able to calculate) the federal government's overhead? Keep those cushy congressional pensions in mind...

cushy pensions, mandatory pay raises... sounds like the kind of job I could go for.

what an ass. perhaps someone could craft legislation that would only raise his taxes to pay for it all. the reason why America is as strong as it is stems from the fact that we help those in need on our own and not at the behest of big government. this dip***** is taking entitlement and "fock it, let the government worry about it" mentality to new heights

I actually read Ted Rall's column fairly regularly.
First off he is an Opinion Columnist...so he is supposed to sound radical. However, he is so far over the top, he not only sounds radical, but irrational....hence why he has a very small audience and not likely to make the top 100 list. Also, as a writer who supposedly champions the liberal cause, I think he fails miserably. I can't think of anything I have in common with him. Every column is just a rant against some imagined conspiracy or oppression. He really gives liberalism a bad name. This article is just the worst and latest example.
