Angry WTF?? My manhattan just exploded.

So I'm coming off of a Bears victory, getting ready to grill NY strips...watching the Packers lose which is a good thing, and I decide to pour a manhattan. Ice in, bitters in, Maker's Mark in, sweet vermouth in, finally, the lemon slice. Yes, Joe A, I put a lemon slice in my manhattan. Try it... Anyliquor, I just finish stirring my nectar from the Gods and my glass POPS and SNAPS...Maker's all over the counter, running onto the floor. WTF? So long to cheap glassware. Moral to this story? Have enough bourbon on hand to make another drink.

Only hookers drink manhattans

*not that I know anything about drinking. Seriously, last night was the first time I ever bought alcohol. I know nothing.

I will have you know that I am not a prostitute. I have been called a slut in my earlier days but never charged for it. Was just offering to help the ladies "scratch an itch" that they could not always take care of themselves!

Gassy,

Funny thing, I was just getting ready to go downstairs and make a Manhattan when I saw this thread and was praying that the terrorists had not hit again.

Damm, its time for a drink! A toast to you Sir!

Do not have one here, will stop by the store tomorrow. Did spice it up with a bit of Gran Marnier...

I once dropped the lid of the martini shaker onto a Bombay Sapphire masterpiece-in-progress, in a really nice glass too, and KABOOM it was history. PISSED ME OFF but the bottle wasn't empty, so I forgot about it soon thereafter (until this reminded me). LOL.
